Wir waren zum Golfen in Carnoustie. Lage dafür hervorragend. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte ein Lifting gut vertragen. Trotzdem sauber. Übersichtliche Speisenkarte, alles gute Qualität.

Carnoustie Golf Hotel

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Hotel room overlooked the carpark. Would have been good to have overlooked the golf course as that is why we choose to stay there!
Cons: Just needs generally updating - looks a bit tired.
Location: Location is good if you like golf.
The room was clean and it was good to have two double beds. The curtains were a bit frayed and cabinets in the bathroom had seen better days. Could do with a fan in the room as it was a bit hot and only option was to open the window. The telly was also on the small side, much smaller than those in the premier Inn.. The Spa was ok, but again a bit dated with tiles missing from around the jacuzzi. Breakfast was ok with fruit and cereals buffet style but everything else had to be ordered. This led to quite a delay at busy times and it wasn't obvious that you could only have one cooked option. Complete buffet style would be preferable.

Good staff, faded hotel

Posted Jul 3, 2015
All of the staff were first class. The hotel is needing a revamp in the common areas and rooms as it looks like not a lot has been spent since opening day....that said everything worked....but prints/artwork everywhere is faded, timber could do with a varnish and evidence of leaks in the dining area/lounge have not been tackled comprehensively. That said for the price we paid it was acceptable and it was clean....the staff were good and the food was decent and priced ok.....so bizarrely we would go back.

Not good enough

Posted Jun 28, 2015
the hotel needs a renovation and better service to be at the level of the course and the expectations around an open championship host course

Family friendly, but quiet hotel

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Our room had a pleasant sea view overlooking the putting green (if that's what you call it). Ice machine located near the lift and ice bucket supplied in the room - very nice touch and welcome after a warm day out side. Staff very polite and friendly, always smiling.

No respect for the guests

Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: location to golf was only benefit to my stay
Cons: respect for the guests in the hotel and their restful stay
Location: nothing except the hotel
there were booked events in the hotel both nights and the guests behaved loudly and well into the night...the staff did nothing and ignored the pleas to quiet them down and respect the paying guests

Hotel is terribly outdated

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Proximity to golf course, staff was excellent
Cons: Needs an update badly. The 5 fire doors I had to drag my luggage through to get to room made it cumbersome. No AC, musty and dingy
Location: Next to Carnoustie golf club
Stayed in the this hotel because of its proximity to Carnoustie golf club. The good: The staff was excellent and helpful, from the desk managers, to maintenance to the bar/restaurant staff. It is right next to the golf course. Walk of the 18th green and you are inside the bar. The bad: The hotel is musty, outdated and not comfortable. Getting luggage to your room was a nightmare (fire doors everywhere. I was shocked to find out the hotel is not very old. It is generally in poor condition.

close to beach but nothing to do

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Cons: needs upgrading, the rooms are a bit tired. The walls were marked and there was long black hairs in the bath.
Location: the location is ok next to the beach but absolutely nothing to do in Carnoustie
went with my wife and two kids. There was nothing for kids to do at night for instance maybe play scrabble or a game of cards but they didnt have anything, there wasnt even a pool table to keep my son amused.

Bra för golfare.

Pros: Bra pris i förhållande till läge och standard.
Cons: Börjar bli slitet.
Location: Utmärkt för golfare.
Trevligt och bra läge. God mat både i restaurangen och baren.
