“Incredibly Lackluster”
Check in and check out were fine, though the night clerk was rather snotty. They also made me fill out a form that asked for a LOT of information, which was weird.
The place itself was dismal. The TV barely worked, and when we arrived, there were dead bugs in the bathroom. Normally, this could be chalked up to a fluke, but when we switched rooms (see the reason below), the new room ALSO had dead bugs in the bathroom. Not acceptable!
Their site advertised free internet, but it didn't work in our room. We had to switch rooms in order to find one that would "reach" the wireless network so we could use it. This took an hour, as it was a fight just to get them to switch our room after trying many different troubleshooting options.
The second room had faulty light switches, too, which made figuring out the lighting situation so we could read before bed (or even just see when we got into the room) very frustrating.
Parking was absolutely inconvenient. If you got a room near the lobby, which we eventually did, you had to park at the opposite side of the hotel, because there is no parking lot near the front at all.
The bed, at the very least, was comfortable, but they were rather stingy with the pillows.
If you're desperate for a place to stay in Newnan, GA, stay at the Days Inn across the lot from this Travelodge. Otherwise, opt to stay in Atlanta, or further along the freeway instead. This place made it so we will never stay at a Travelodge of any sort ever again.
