“friendly staff; really liked breakfast”
friendly staff; really liked breakfast
“Well done.”
Very nice experience.
“Excellent Value and very QUIET :)”
This is our second stay in 2 years. On the first occasion we had a lovely 3rd floor suite that overlooked the fields to the southeast. The beds were and still are super comfy ! GDW Casino is close to the freeway but VERY quiet. There are two stripmalls in close proximity, one with a Subway sandwich store that is convenient for picnic lunches. On this recent Tuesday thru Thursday stay at GDW casino resort, we had a second floor room with two queen beds. The room was in very good condition and it overlooked the seldom-used pool and garden. Again perfectly quiet. I was leary of being on the second floor because I thought it would be noisy above. It wasn't at all and (being a light sleeper) I had yet another 2 nights of quiet sleep. The airconditioner needed maintenance. Pedro, the delightful maintenance man, was there is 5 minutes and promptly cleaned the filter to restored coolness to the room in no time. The restaurant's staff were very competent and friendly staff. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes. The Grille Manager on Wednesday night was awesome when I had a bout of hypoglycemia at 10pm. He was understanding and willing to see that I could have a some bread after 10pm. Breakfast was included in the night's rate and there was a good selection of hot food that was ample and fresh. Dinner in the Mexican restaurant was also excellent quality, selection and price. So, kudos to all the staff, too numerous to mention. Some Reception staff could be more welcoming, though.
“Excellent customer service--I will go back.”
The staff went the extra mile to accommodate our wishes. The customer service was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable and the on-site restaurants were very good and reasonably priced.
“Nice place to stay”
Frendly on check in,clean and quitea nice place to stay.
“Best value for the money”
Stayed 2 nights got free suite upgrade from their webiste. Front desk gal very nice. Free breakfast included with stay at "The Grill" in casino was good. Casino small but nice. Bowling alley was also great. We would definetly recommend to anyone looking for a nice and clean all inclusive place to stay. Try the free Prime Rib dinner at "The Grill" it was very good.
“Will definately return”
To tell you the truth I was very happily surprised at how nice the rooms were. Very spacious, very clean. The bed is to die for. I just loved it. Also having a restaurant on site is very convienient. The food was very good. We also enjoyed the free full breakfast we got. My grandchildren live in the area, so they were able to come to the hotel and enjoy the pool and spa. Also with the bowling alley there too, there is something for everyone. I would be happy to return next time we are in Carson City. Also we ended up staying an extra night, and next time I would book both my nights on Expedia, because it was cheaper. The room we had booked on Expedia was an upgrade also. Plus the free meal. Big savings. Staff was very nice and helpful, and the restaurant was a great value and good service.
“HOTTER INSIDE THAN OUT”
Air conditioning controls preset to 80 degrees and no way to adjust...room felt very uncomfortable....although staff was professional, room clean, and price range acceptable...AIR CONDITIONING MAKES IT NOT A FUN PLACE TO STAY...WILL NOT RETURN IN THIS CENTURY.
“Good rebound from failure”
Originally we were place into room 126, which had 3 of its 4 walls adjacent to public hallways. The room was at the end of a block of rooms, the back of the room faced to a narrow outside walk way with a trash can, ash tray, and outside door. I heard people alnight outside the window discussing thier personal problems and etc all night and going in and out the door. Also, these people were there due to thier smoking habit which found its way into our room through the gaps in the window's frame. When the people above us flushed the toilet (as well as the noise of our toilet), it was loud enough to wake you up, along with thier walking along the floor. Our own bathroom sliding door would also make a harsh noise the last 5"- 6" before closing or when reopening, which woke the other one of us up, and having relatively acute hearing, heard the dripping from the bathtub faucet. However, the hotel staff were excellent in going out of thier way to provide us with another room. This new room on the third floor was excellent, with a quiet conventional bathroom door, and a quieter toilet, no leaks in faucets, the outside noise as better muffled by the walls/door. We almost checked out after the first night, but after recieving the new room, I will state that we had a much better nights sleep and may return another time. The mornings free breakfast was decent, you got 4 selections of a full meal, not a buffet style, cafe. Both rooms were clean with clean sheets/bedding & towels.
“Nice Place to Stay”
The hotel is in need of repair, I don't know why the toilet are high pressure operated, you've got to close the lid or it explode as if you flushed a toilet in the airplane! The place is worth the price they charge. I liked the place, despite its old looking rooms and bathrooms.
