“Better than Carson Valley Inn”
We have stayed in Minden several times, always at the Carson Valley Inn. It was booked so we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. We were VERY happy. Everything was clean and new. The front desk staff was helpful, fast and knowledgeable. We will be back next year.

It was clean & the staff was very friendly. The comp. breakfast was pretty good also.
“Not a bad deal...I've had a lot worse for a lot more money”
This was a nice clean place. Nice staff, everything as expected. The breakfast was not fancy but they had bagels and Yoplait. Believe me when I say I have paid a lot more for hotels that were not nearly as nice. This was a good place. Dinner cost more per than the room did for 4 people.
“Great hotel!”
Traveling to the hotel was a feat but the check-in and the stay was wonderful. The continental breakfast buffet was basic but pretty good. Our room was clean and comfortable. The gym was tiny but the pool + hot tub was nice. I would recommend for business and family travlers.
“Convenience was name of the game”
Most employees were friendly. Continental breakfast could have used more healthy options (specifically, fruit). Housekeeper was a little rude - barged into our room even though we said we'd be out for the day in 5 minutes. Room was very clean, and beds were comfortable. Gentleman who helped with check-out was extremely helpful and friendly. Fitness Center only had two treadmills, and one was broken! Location of hotel was very convenient. Overall, if all you need is a place to hang your hat and lay your head, this hotel fit the bill ... just don't expect a blevy of extras.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Minden was so nice and clean and gets an A+ from us! We couldn't find any lodging in South Lake Tahoe on a crazy Saturday night after seeing a great outdoor concert at Harveys, so we decided to drive to Minden for the night..."Glad we did!"~"We had a King Suite that was lovely!"
“Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't Stay Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Terrible service: wouldn't address any of our concerns, room was never serviced during our stay. By far the worst continental breakfast ever, powdered eggs filled with cheese whiz for omlettes? Foul!!! Indoor pool stunk of beer and pee. Expected much more from a holiday Inn Express!
