“A wonderful get away with kids and a dog from RENO”

We are from Reno, and wanted a fun and cheap get away since we cannot afford a vacation. We have two small kids and a dog. We are frequent visitors to Virginia City, but had never spent the night. We saw a decent deal for this hotel and took it. We had such a wonderful time! The hotel was perfect for us. The staff was very nice. The rooms were a tad small with kids and a large dog, but very comfortable. The air conditioning worked great, which is always a concern when it's simmer in the desert. The pool isn't huge, but was clean and we used it 3 or 4 times! The breakfast was much nicer than I thought it would be too. We were pleasantly surprised at how great the hotel was, and at how much fun It was staying in VC. Our only complaint was we were charged an additional 50 dollars for the dog when we got there. We stayed there because we got a deal, and it no longer was. However, we had so much fun, we want to do it again. The good news is that being from Reno, we didn't have to spend much in gas!

“A GLITCH THAT WORKED OUT: OK! ...this time”

Everything about the hotel and staff was EXCELLENT! The part that was difficult was that inspite of my having a confirmed reservation through Expedia, the hotel could not locate it!! EVEN WITH A CONFIRMED, PREPAID RESERVATION /we CONFIRMATION NUMBER! They graciously provided me with the biggest suite they had, saying it was on your end Expedia!

“Nice get away.”

Very clean and quiet hotel with friendly staff. The coffee was the best hotel coffee ever, though no fresh fruit with the breakfast. Virginia City doesn't offer any place for dinner during the week so you have to go to Reno, but it is not too far. Much nicer to stay in Virginia City than Reno if you don't want the gambling and traffic.
