“Worth the distance from the casino”
Hotel was a little far from the stateline and the cost for the taxi was a pretty penny but it was worth it because the views were beautiful. The condo was clean adn very roomy for the 6 of us. Diffinitley going back on my next trip back to Tahoe.
“If we go to Tahoe again, we will highly consider this Condo again.”
I don't know about the other rooms. The unit we had was a two bedrooms with loft unit. The condo is much more accommodating than the hotels. Our kids loved it. It was clean, neat, lots of towels, cups, ...... Some previous reviews complained about the long flights of stairs to get to the unit(s). Being 65, I still can get all the way up without stopping though the breathing went a little harder. A few items needed improvements: 1. No shower in the bath tub at the upper loft. 2. The clock, time, date.... of the microwave need to be set before you can use it.
“Getaway Place..... Tahoe Summit Village, Lake Tahoe”
Sometimes you just want to get away, settle in a nice spot and not worry about things. This is that right spot. Very comfortable. Very convenient with all the amenities and basic comfort you can find in your home. Staying here is like having your own home. The only downside was the location as you would have to travel "just" a few miles up from the lake which is not that bad at all, thus the "GETAWAY". The quietness and relaxing neighborhood makes up for it. Nice views. Close to a skiing resort as well which is good especially during the winter. We stayed at the 2-room suite, sleeps 6. I'll stay there again on my next Tahoe Trip. Highly recommended.
“Stairway Tahoe”
The roadway leading to the village is on a steep incline that is difficult in snow or icy conditions. Once at the village, you must climb a stairway to get to check-in lobby. After check-in you must climb many stairs to get to your room. Help was provided with luggage. The accommodations were nicely furnished with the standard amenities. However, the TVs are outdated and certain channels very snowy. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking except extra pans. Heating was good except there was a noisy air fan near the kitchen. Turnover service was not very good. They did offer clean towels after they see you returning to your room. You must be in good shape to climb stairs. Tahoe Village has breathtaking scenery.
