We loved our stay at this hotel so much that we have booked another stay there next week. The hotel is incredibly peaceful, romantic and stylish. It is close enough to Cartagena to enjoy the attractions but distant enough to make it feel like you are in another world. Can't wait to go back.

Hotel Dann was a great hotel in Cartagena, the room was large with a king sized bed, balcony and air con. It was a sanctuary away from the heat and busy beach. The view was great and you could see some of the walled city in the distance. The breakfast buffet was a great start to the day. It was a short walk to the the main strip of eateries and shops and a short taxi ride to the Walled City.

"Where I will be staying in Cartagena in the future"
Prone to profound laziness, I rarely take time to reflect on places I have stayed, but the staff and room at the Regatta were so wonderful I just have to pass this along. We (myself, wife and newborn baby) couldn't have asked for a more pleasant or satisfying stay in a great city where people do their utmost to promote not only their hotel, but the city, and country, as well. The rooms are converted apartments, and so are very spacious and comfortable, each with its own unique design, and tons of closet space. The beach is directly out front of the hotel, and towel service is provided, although you need to rent chairs and an umbrella ($12-15 all day) if you desire. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to anything you may need (shopping, food), but for me the staff/maintenance's sincerely pleasant, "we will help with whatever " attitude were a most welcome and pleasant part of a spectacular place to stay. Great price, great service, good buffet (simple, but plentiful with great fruit), make this the place I will be staying in Cartagena in the future.

To be honest the hotel is in no very good condition, but they are building and reparing a lot. I believe a got one of the worst room. So some other rooms and they looked nicer and cleaner. The food was not very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful, except for the old recepionist. His spanish is very hard to understand and he is not very helpfull. The hotel has a nice pool and the beach infront of the hotel is beautiful. You have from there a nice view of new Cartagena. After 3pm the wind gets really strong and its not comfortable anymore to be at the beach. The island on which the hotel is located is not part of rosario islands. Its actully way more complicaded to do a trip to the islands from here than from cartagena. The boot to the island costs $3. You have to take the boot at the beach "boca grande".

Arrived in Cartagena the wife wanted a last minute beach to swim and tan. Found isle de encanta on Expedia and made reservations for two night stay. Below expectations remember not the Bahamas nor the level of service or quality of food. Mostly caters to Colombians. No one spoke English but my wife is Colombian and my Spanish is adequate. Take the day trip and enjoy the beach. My hotel experience is based on the over priced rooms. Overall a quaint place but once is enough for me to return.
