We truly enjoyed our stay, greeted by Benjamine who was very helpful with directions. James helped us with our luggages, super friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious and the delivery to the room was a nice gesture. The hotel is stunning, my favorite area is the pool. Thanks for the memories Casa Claver!

I absolutely loved my stay! The room on the 4th floor (same floor as the pool) feels like such an oasis! Very cute loft vibe and easy access to the pool with incredible views. And the staff was so friendly and helpful! The morning breakfast was also delicious. I cannot recommend this property enough! I would totally come back!

We had a lovely stay at Casa Claver. The concierge, James, and other staff were all very helpful. The coffee and breakfasts were delicious and satisfying. We loved the oasis on the rooftop - the pool and chaises were a great place to spend the hottest hours of the day. It was easy to walk around the walled city or to catch a cab near the Torre de Reloj to other neighborhoods. It was also an easy walk from the hotel to Getsemani.

We stayed here from 2/4 to 2/10 in room 100. This hotel is very closed to everything as far as restaurants, cafes, shops, and historic sites. The staffs were all friendly and welcoming. The daily free breakfast was great! The hotel rooftop pool was great! Benjamin and James were both very helpful in assisting us with dinner reservations and restaurants recommendations. Great hotel in the Walled City! No complaints.

Everything at Casa Claver is perfect. I did a lot of research prior to booking and was nervous about not picking the right place for my wife and I. They had a rooftop pool and a pool in the hotel. The grounds were clean, our 1 bedroom apartment style boutique had plenty of room for us. Let me tell you though, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This was the perfect walking distance to everything within the walled city. The staff helped us get in-room massages on more than 1 occasion and sent our clothes for dry-cleaning multiple times as well.

I had a wonderful experience & would stay at property again. The property is conveniently located in centro historico and is an easy 15 minute walk to Getsemani or 7 minute walk to piers. All of the front desk staff were attentive and kind. Special mention to the senora who delivered delicious breakfast and cleaned Room 201. She always had a smile & was also attentive and kind.

Amazing!!!!
I was amazed. We stayed in the two bedroom suit on the 3rd floor. The room was huge, there was a loft with another bed( though it was a little hot there) so 4 of had our own beds. The front desk stuff very super helpful in everything we asked. The hotel is in central historic district but on a quiet street, which we loved, no crowds, no loud music etc. comfortable beds with good quality bedding. The rooftop is beautiful. You can see the water, couple of cathedrals and pretty roofs. Night view was amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Very spacious room with 3 bedrooms, huge living room, decent kitchen. The kids loved the rooftop pool. The street the hotel is on seems very safe, no prostitutes at night, very quiet in the suite. It’s within walking distance of everywhere and anywhere in the old city. Most walks were 5 minutes. I don’t remember any that took a full 10 minutes. There was one walk that was 7-8 minutes. Staff is friendly and helped with any issues or needs with good attitude. Very good price and the accomodations were far superior to much more expensive hotels like the Hyatt. I wish we had stayed here the whole time we were in Cartagena (a total of 5 days). I would have saved a lot of money while sacrificing absolutely nothing. This was actually the best place of our entire trip: Cartagena, Tierra Bomba (an island 30 minutes by boat from old Cartagen, Bogota, Villa de Leyva, and Medellin. Medellin is a city you really need to plan out thoroughly before you get there. It’s a huge, sprawling city with terrible traffic that made spontaneous exploring of different areas pretty exhausting. Plaza Botero which is in El Centro (“La Candelaria”). The sculptures and museums on the plaza were great and safe. The pedestrian street rates highly by travel sites but that’s complete BS. El Centro is depressing, dirty, dangerous and chaotic. The locals are aggressive, persistent, genuinely crazy and scary as hell. I was afraid and wanted to get as far away as fast as possible never ever to return

Divine stay
The customer service was impressive. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms and the whole house is kept in very good conditions and tastefully decorated with local decor. Excellent a quality materials. The breakfast was delicious and lots of different choices. Location is very central in the best part of the old city.

I LOVED everything about this property! From the made to order breakfast option that was included every morning to thoroughly enjoying sunning and lounging at the rooftop pool. In July, Cartagena is extremely humid, it was nice to take a dip in the mini rooftop pool after a long day of sightseeing. The staff are all excellent and the hotel is centrally located with easy access to most tour starting points. It's literally steps away, less than a five minute walk to the central square/plaza. My only complaint was the steam room that was advertised as a property amenity was not available. During our entire stay it served as a closet to hold lounge chair cushions and pillows. We stayed in the one bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It was an AMAZING space and reasonably priced.

The hotel staff are amazing and do their best with what they have. The hotel is unique and beautiful located within the walled city. However- We had two beds in our suite and both beds are extremely firm. I could not sleep well and my back ached each day. We asked for a mattress pad of some sort. They did not have one and put a comforter under the fitted sheet. It did not help. Spend the extra money and invest in luxury mattresses, bedding and mattress pads. The hotel offers daily breakfast but there is only 5 menu options with no pastries/bread which was shocking when that’s a typical offering in hotels. The hotel states that some rooms are soundproof. I can assure you that the majority of the rooms are not! We were in two separate suites and both had open ceilings outside the suites. The suite we ended up in was located in the back of hotel next to the laundry room, our bathroom shared the same wall and at 3-4am the wash began for the day and our bathroom would become very hot, so we had to close the bathroom door not only due to the heat but for privacy- the top portion of the bathroom wall is non existent. This room is above the kitchen and you heard the staffs conversations too. There is also no bar. Just a mini fridge with beer, modest wine, water. If the owners correct these issues: room privacy, luxury mattresses, bedding and breakfast offerings, it would be a perfect 5 star hotel.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! Benjamin and the other two gentlemen (sorry, I can't remember their names) were extremely helpful and pleasant to interact with. They had great recommendations and were quick to answer any questions we had. The hotel was immaculate and so clean. Our room was very large and we had a full kitchen. Breakfast was provided every morning and was very yummy. The rooftop pool was beautiful. The entire hotel was so beautiful and charming. We felt incredibly safe the entire time and we had our 8-year old son with us as well. I cannot recommend this hotel and its wonderful staff enough!
