Cons: Include breakfast in the rate
This is what you expect of a 5 star hotel. Competent staff, well appointed room, good restaurant on site (Harry Saison - separately operated), beautiful 360 view from the rooftop pool deck, comfy bed, etc. Also a perfect location inside the wall of the old city.

Location: Very well located, kind of in a cul de sac but close to attractions and restaurants.
Beautiful rooms with HGTV type bathrooms! Rain showers amazing! Lovely terrace overlooking pool area was terrific for a sunset meal and drink. Actually all the hotel restaurants were excellent! Buffet breakfast at the indoor patio was terrific and the cafe at the front entrance was fabulous!

Avoid this Hotel!Posted Feb 17, 2015
Santa Teresa is so disappointing, even more so if you come directly from Santa Clara. Teresa is clearly not a 5-star hotel. It has no personality, no charm. Our very small room was horrendous. It was absolutely freezing. After turning off the AC and opening the window and door in the hope that the resulting "hurricane" of warm air would change things, it was only after two nights that it began to warm up - just as we were departing. I was so upset. The rooftop pool area has nice views of Cartagena, but it is so intolerably windy that very few guests stay there for long. The lobby appears to be the location of a nice dining area, but it is not. There is a restaurant in the lobby, but it's operated by others and accessed from the street around the corner. The hotel does have an outdoor restaurant in front of the hotel which serves decent pizza, but suffers from the endless stream of autos crawling by. Avoid Teresa; book early at Santa Clara.

The room is very celan and staffs are very kind and attentive. The food in the restaurant is regular, but its quality will be improved when Harry Sasson open a restaurant in the hotel end November.
