“under remodeling but we could not get the chance to ahve a remodeled room”

the best is to stay in Boutique hotel in the Old city. However travelling with children I recommand this hotel that when remodeling will be completed is nice with his colonial architecture, nice pool, and Fridays events great ( Cartageanean buffet at the restaurant and Tipical dance group)

“ok to nice”

The hotel on a whole can use some renovation, there are sign of some work going on;not to an impressive degree. The rooms are nice -- some quite dated. The poolside is lovely, but poolside service "PLAIN OLD SUCKS". people are friendly enough and the local is across the road from the beach.and the gym is nothing to talk about but it seems few use the gym so it probably not likely to change. I don't want to bash it too much b/c I would definitely go back, will try another hotel first though!

“poor quality price ratio”

Hotel Caribe is an old hotel which rooms need maintenance and upgrade. Service is friendly but poor. We went for the Caribean suite and were really disapointed but the state of the room equipment. The hotel is well located very close to the beach and it has its own The restaurants of the hotel (the grill and the beach restaurants ) have very poor quality of food with high prices (there are a lot of restaurant close by that have much better food and prices). The breakfast buffet is good if limited. All in all I will not go back there.

“a resonable experience”

Reasonable room with easy access to the beach. I did not have any issues, but two fellow travelers had numerous challenges, including room keys that constantly failed and a foul smell coming from the bathroom sink. Request a room on one of the higher floors.

Getting there

Leave lots of time if you are making a connection to get to Cartegena. Bogota customs held me up for almost an hour after getting my luggage, resulting in a missed connection and an unplanned night in Bogota.

“Very Good Hotel”

During our recent stay at Hotel Caribe Cartagena, my wife and I were delighted with the quality of the Hotel. The rooms are really good, hotel infrastructure is great, the staff is very polite and thoughtful. The only con we found would have to be that the shower in our room was really small. Asides from that, everything was really great.

“Nice hotel - a little far”

Beautiful hotel but a littler older and far from the historic center - thankfully taxis are cheap and it was like $3 to get to the tourist area.

Too expensive for the service yoy get. They have to change me from the room that i have assigned when i arrived, because it wasn't prepared. They include things on my bill that i didn't use The room was too far from the area on the hotel where i have to give some lectures and they couldn't arrange to change my room to a closer one. I got charge an extra tax when i arrived.

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Caribe Hotel”

With an excellent location, kind service, confort and all the attraction of the Caribbean region this hotel will satisfy and fulfill any expectation. I highly recommend it.
