“fair value”

the staff was great. the street was very noisy and busy. the room was cleaned daily. the location was conveniently located. while not a five star hotel, it was a fair value.

“Nothing fancy yet decent value”

Santa Cruz in not fancy, but it does provide a decent bedroom, good air conditioning, cable tv and a bathroom. No thrills yet the charm of Cartagena´s historic centre. This hotel does not offer restaurants or ammenities, yet the staff id friendly and the whole experience can be defined as uncomplicated. I believe though that for similar prices there´s better hotels in the area.

“staying basic”

The hotel is small- my room was pretty tight for (4) people but it had the basic accomodation for a night stay (beds n bathroom), there was no luxury to it but it was clean. My only reccomendation to them was to put a lamp in the room for the future since it's very dark inside the room and the only way of having any kind of light was by turning on the main bulb thus waiking up everybody at night!... The staff at the hotel was very accomodating, corteous and helpful as far as giving information on things to do around the city and providing me with an iron when I requested it. The area where the hotel is located - is near to every important point of interest but it is very noisy during the day due to many shops - clothing stores and at night it seemed to be a little abandoned with lots of piles of boxes all along the street. Although people told me that it was safe I was very cautious. I'd say if you need a place just to sleep for a couple of nights is aceptable, otherwise to spend a vacation without comfort is no fun.

“you want review or not?”

For the price I was AT LEAST expecting quality on the level of a typical Motel 6. It fell short. Sagging bed, tiny room. Zero amenities.
