“Kind service, good rooms.”

Two of my best friends and I stayed here for an adventure race. We were trying to save a little money. Overall, service was great. I suffered a major concussion in the race and need to sleep in, doc's orders. They didn't charge us for the late checkout and were happy to help us out. The rooms were normal hotel rooms, nothing fancy, but clean and the air conditioner didn't sound like a Mac Truck.

“Good Value”

Although the building appears to have been around awhile it is clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast is adequate, and perhaps even better than one might expect for a budget priced motel. It provides a good bang for the buck.

“affordable and decent”

overall very satisfied with our stay. the staff were friendly and the room was clean. good location, close to downtown but not so close that traffic noise was an issue. we plan on staying in the same location on our next trip.

“Very content”

The hotel was a very average hotel. It wasn't great, but it provided everything we needed for our stay in Rome. Everything was really close and convenient to the room - ice machine, parking, office, etc. The neighborhood was okay, but we felt like we were on the verge of the ghetto. The only negative thing about the hotel was the free breakfast - there's a reason it was free.

“try somewhere else”

We chose this hotel because it was cheap and close to Berry College. It was in poor condition and rooms had no soundproofing at all. You could hear every cough and Tv from room next door, and the road noise was so loud we thought our door and windows were open. I wouldn't go back.

“Left a lot to be desired”

Room was quite dirty. Lights over sink didn't work. Internet access was not at a good location in the room. Hotel desk clerk was NOT helpful or pleasant.

“Won't go back”

I have been traveling to Rome fairly frequently in the last couple of years. I have mostly stayed downtown at an old remodeled hotel that I feel is way over priced so I have been looking for alternatives. The Howard Johnson is very cheap in all senses of the word. The room smelled a little musty. The construction is from the 50's or 60's, all on one level with parking outside the door. They advertised free high speed internet, but I couldn't get it to work. The room was clean, and not terrible, but I won't be going back.
