“Jolly time at the Jolly”

It was a nice hotel in a nice location. We found it convenient to the highway and easy enough to get to. The desk clerk gave us directions to a very good restaurant where we enjoyed pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. Our room was very nice and comfortable. There was a full hot breakfast buffet in the morning that was included. The parking was free, but it was very limited and the spaces are small.

Limited car parking at hotel but reasonable (6 euro/day) parking right across the street. Convenient for railway station if you wish to visit Naples without a car. Close to restaurants.

“Average hotel, superb restaurant”

Given its excellent location next to the palace in an otherwise fairly empty town there probably isn t a better choice in Caserta, this may be why the hotel is starting to look a bit tatty for a 4 star. Our room was very thin and very dark (walls and carpets are dark blue which doesn t help). The bed was uncomfortable and the bedhead stained dark with holes. Otherwise it was fairly clean but the place could definitely do with a refurb. However, very, very much in its favour was the restaurant which coupled an excellently chosen menu of local specialities, fresh pasta and daily specials with excellent professional and friendly service; a very pleasant surprise from a hotel restaurant (we ate there both nights of our stay in the end). The buffet breakfast was pretty good as well and you can get good coffee during the day for free.

“Extrordinarily Convenient to Walk to The Palace!”

Pleasant atmosphere, very helpful staff let us use the office computer to check-in on line to our airline, and so convenient to cross the street and walk to the Palace & Gardens for our tour!
