Unfortunate Customer Service LapsesPosted Sep 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice room, easy to reach location. Terrible customer service. Do not Disturb means nothing to the housekeeping staff, one member of which actually simply hung out near the room for seemingly hours after being told housekeeping wasn't needed on a 2-night stay. Morning punctuated by loud yelling as they move from room to room. When you develop concerns that someone in housekeeping might be stalking you, it tends to remove any relaxation from the evening.

between a highway and railroad tracksPosted Sep 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
This sprawling hotel has a very friendly staff and a dated decor. Its biggest obstacle is its unfortunate location - being between a major highway and an active railyard. The rooms are on the noisy side, but the beds are comfortable and the room was clean.

easy to find, right off the highwayPosted Sep 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room we stayed in was in an older part of the hotel so it the décor was somewhat dated. But we had a microwave and refrigerator in our room, and even though we didn't use it, I always like having the option to if the need arises. We only spent one night so it was just fine. Beds were comfy.

Above and Beyond - A Great Place to StayPosted Sep 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our Stay was great. We were on our way to Yellowstone and had a reservation to stay here. On our way up I-25 we had an incident that got my side window of our van blown out. We had glass all over the inside of the van. When we got to Parkway Plaza I told the Gentleman at the desk what happened and he sent the Maint. dept. to our room with a shop vac and I was able to clean the van. The next day we had a 10am appt. to get the glass replaced and had all our belongings stored in the room. The staff allowed a late check out time that allowed us not to worry. In addition, their lounge was very nice and a great happy hour with free appetizers. We ate breakfast in their restaurant on the morning we left - Great food, service, and prices. Great HIGH 5 to everyone we dealt with!!!!!

How location allows hotel to overchargePosted Sep 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel room was just average for the price, and there was mold in the tile in the bathroom. The bathroom fan didn't work. A.C. was noisy, shut on and off throughout the night and never cooled off the room. Breakfast charges are high for what you get. Other hotels that aren't located next to a natural attractions provide breakfast and other perks to attract customers. While the surroundings are pretty, this hotel just isn't worth the price paid.

Don't stayPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The lobby.
Cons: Please update, repair and sanitize your rooms.
Location: Location was easy to get to. It was nice to have a put-put right next door.
The lobby was the best part of the hotel. It should be called a motel. We had a pet, so maybe the non-pet part is better. First, the room was small for two Queen beds. Second, the lamps were bolted to the desk and table. Third, fourth, fifth and sixth, the bathroom still had dog hair on the floor, there was a hole in the ceiling that they had tried to cover, but apparently they didn't know which type of screws to use for drywall because the fix wasn't staying, no fan in the bathroom, and the shower head sprayed everywhere but on the person in the shower. I got more water from the ceiling than from shower head, then almost slipped on the soaking wet floor. Seventh, the beds were hard as a rock. Eighth, you could see outside between the door frame and the door. I'm glad it wasn't winter. Ninth, there was NO air conditioning and it was in the 90's outside. Last, but not least, we asked for an extra towel, and received a bath mat. These rooms have not been updated by the looks of them for about 20 years. We planned on staying two nights, left by 8 the next morning and went to Days Inn.

Excellent customer servicePosted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
When the desk clerk found out I was traveling with elderly and one handicapped person, she moved us to the new part of the hotel so we would have an elevator. Very clean and comfortable. No breakfast included but they have a restaurant. Located one exit away from the main strip of restaurants. Would stay here again.

The room could have been better. The bed was too firm and the sheets had holes in them, but it was handicapped accessible (as we had requested).
