Rooftop!!!Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: The rooftop.
Cons: More comfortable mattresses.
Location: Pompeii ruins.
This hotel is beautiful. Rooms are kind of plain, but I have noticed that trend while travelling through Italy. The rooftop garden made this experience for me. The scenery and facilities on the roof made my night there very refreshing. I wish that I hadn't been just passing through, and could have stayed for days. The breakfast buffet is typical for Italy.

Good hotel for short stayPosted May 22, 2014
Hotel staff were lovely and very accommodating. Food was of a good standard. Hotel designed more for short stays when passing through the area. Clean and tidy. Bit dated and could do with some modernising. Pool a bit crumbly and small but clean. Good location for travel around the Sorrento/Naples area however the local town is very old and tired looking with very little to do/see and not many restaurants. Bit of a run down area. But hotel was fine and as described. Good wifi

Readiness & poor response to requests to rectifyPosted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Staff were very helpful.it's location on the out skirt of this tired & dated
Cons: Inject Some life into the hotel. May be play some music of have a TV in the reception
Location: Nothing to do in the town, however it's location was good . Easy access to Pompeii, Sorrento & Amalfie & positano
Nice hotel in a dirty tatty town.room was clean & good position on the 4th floor, however the request to get Engilish chanels on TV, sort out the safe & the room frigde , which was not working were acknowledged but ignored. We were probably the only residents of the hotel! As out of season,it was very quite.the swimming pool &the out door bar were closed. Hardly any staff.

Pleasant hotel in run down area.Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Public areas pleasant. Swimming pool good. Roof terrace lovely.
Cons: Needs updating. Needs more tourist information.
Location: Poor location. Rail links to Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius from town but need to be able to walk on uneven pavements and up a hill.
This hotel is in Castellammare di Sabia which is dirty, noisy and heavy with traffic. Disappointingly 20 km from Sorrento, the description "Sorrento coast area" is misleading as needs 10 minute walk down steep hill to station then 20 minute train journey. Hotel needs updating. It is geared to catering for tour groups, restaurant has set meals, no choice. No tea or coffee available during day. Staff do not speak very good English and could not advise on transport links or Tourist attractions, no guide books/leaflets. No room safe, room fridge not working, balcony door would not lock. The restaurant manager Thomas and bar Steward Manuelle were great.

Be sure its what you want before you book.Posted Sep 28, 2012
Cons: Location and value for money (or lack of it).
Location: Poor location even if you have your own transport (i.e. cant drive to dinner and have wine).
Used by bus tour operators - not many individual guests. To far to walk to nearest facilities (Castellammare di Stabia), which is in any case a grubby little town. Nearest tourist venue is Sorrento which is 12 miles away - so you need a car. In fact don't stay there if you don't have access to transport unless you are just "passing thru'". Breakfast can be disappointing, 1st day was OK - we had omelettes made for us but these were not available on other days. Dinner is OK but small portions and restaurant only opens between 19-30 and 21-00 hours. "Free WiFi" is unreliable anywhere except in reception. Hotel staff generally friendly and helpful.

Great location for Pompeii and sorrentoPosted Jan 28, 2011
The hotel is located 10mins away from the train station, so it's great to drive to the hotel and leave the car there and just catch the train to Pompeii which is a 10 min train journey away. Rooms are spacious and the service was great. We went in low season, and we were the only guests there, so breakfast was brought up to us instead, which was fantastic. The town is a little residential town, but it was great to eat local food and be only 10mins from Pompeii and not very far far from sorrento and a good base for the amalfi coast (which are some crazy roads!). All in all a great hotel and we would stay there again.
