The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the area. Looking over the waterfront as we ate our breakfast was very pleasant as was the view from the rooftop terrace. I would give this hotel a 2.5/3 out of 5 based solely on the size and sparsity of the room. It rained during one of the afternoons we were there and in such small quarters we felt quite cramped. On the upside, the staff at the front desk and our server at breakfast were very warm and friendly.

Loved our ocean view room. Staff was excellent, hotel was spotless, very tastefully decorated and food in the restaurant was great. Rooftop deck was a great bonus. Highly recommend.

For me a hotel is all about comfort and location. This one only has the location. We could hear all the people talking on the lobby, doors opening and closing. It was impossible to sleep.

View great but fairly basic
The hotel location is great . There is a teendy cocktail bar across the path which is a bit snnoying with its choice of music. I feel this isnt really a boutique hotel. There waa nithing luxurious The towels were threadbare. The main issye us tge huge issue they make of sayjng you get one bottke of water and 2 milks /coffee caosukes snd need to buy more for a euro. Hardly welcoming. There was also no rooftop bar , just a few seats to sit on. The saving grace is the great views and the friendly front of house check in deak staff

A must stay!
Lovely hotel in old part of town next door to the castle. Everything in the hotel was lovely and beautifully decorated. Would have stayed longer but we were on our way to see friends for a lunch party.

Just for a night
Booked the room based on reviews, The front desk was very kind at check in. They leave for the night so if you need anything you have to call them to come back. There are bright flood lights outside of the rooms and thin walls which can provide a bit of a challenge for sleeping if you are a light sleeper. The room was clean and the price was right for a quick night so we could visit the castle. The area had a good selection of restaurants around it as well.

Hotel almost touching distance to both the castle walls on one hand and the sea on the other..so very convenient to both main attractions in Pensicola. Friendly helpful staff, clean, nice chill out area with sea views - bar service in peak season.

Spotless, modern vibe, friendly, helpful staff checked prices multiple options and arranged transport.for us.to Morella.. Useful when spanish is limited...also had a small balcony to sit out and thete was a chill out area with superb views over the sea which we loved and was a great bonus.

Modern charm in a 12th century town
It was a great place for a relaxing few days. Our room had a balcony with incredible views of the beach. It was great! The hotel is located very near the castle and so we parked the car for three days and we walked everywhere. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. The room is a little small, but the added balcony gave us the impression of having a living room - all it was missing was great sitting area. The hotel has a great terrasse on the 3rd floor with fantastic views and great sitting areas. Worth the extra steps to spend some quiet time and enjoy the views. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We particularly appreciated the towels for the beach that the hotel offer. It was perfect to enjoy the beach in the afternoon without having to think about towels and sand back in the room. We really enjoyed out stay in the hotel and in the town. It was lovely and charming.

The Beach
Front desk went beyond her duty to help us with resolving a parking fine. Excellent customer service. The suggestion to upgrade the room was well worth it as the view was spectacular.

Amazing experience
Amazing concept for a town that receives a lot of family tourism. It is very relaxing with beautiful views and amazing service from staff. The only suggestion would be to send an email to those customers that choose to pre-boom a parking spot with directions on how to do it, since driving in town is a bit chaotic. Other than that the hotel is amazing and would love to come back in the future. Thanks for all the little details and all the thought you have put on it.

We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Boutique La Mar - the hotel was very modern, the room- though small - was very well presented and the air conditioning and Wi-Fi were excellent. The Hotel was located in the old town area and adjacent to the beach and some very good restaurants and bars. We had a room to the front with a balcony - however there is a support column running up through the room and also another support column through the balcony - this is a bit off putting on first sight - but did not affect us The proprietor was very helpful and booked our train journey to Valencia for us. One small issue is that each time we left the hotel and returned we had to log back into the Wi-Fi but this is only a minor point.

This is a place to go. Congratulations - perfect.
Perfect new hotel with very helpful Estephany on a front desk. Owner on a property most of the time taking care of everything. Very nice restaurant with a great food. Clean, comfortable and in a perfect location right by the entrance to the Castle and couple steps from the beach. Finally and most important especially for US travelers: Very good queen size mattress on normal bed, so you can sleep :-) without any stress. We will be back here every time and we will not even look at any other hotel

A Little Gem of a Hotel
A superb little hotel immediately adjacent to the castle. The manager cannot do enough to ensure the comfort of his guests. The hotel has a lovely roof garden with a fantastic view of the bay (also excellent for seeing some gorgeous sunsets). ONLY downside is no on-site parking, but there is adequate nearby parking. We will definitely visit again.

FANTASTIC HOTEL
This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet location but near the centre of everything. The hotel is kept beautifully clean. Breakfast is buffet style and is very adequate but does not vary so for a long stay may become bland.
