The rooms were old and took close to 12 hours to cool down once we arrived. The balcony was not suitable for infant as she could fall under the guardrail. The bathroom was outdated and moldy. The dining options were very limited and very crowded. The music at night went until 12 midnight which was very loud and too late. The staff was lovely though - very kind and helpful. The facility just needs a major upgrade for being marketed as a 4 star resort it didn’t meet my expectations.

The Plaza Suites is a fine property, beautiful spacious rooms, friendly staff, great location and views, good food, and excellent amenities. I would highly recommend.

Rooms are huge and so are balconies. If you like music during the day, get the room going into the pool and internal courtyard, if you prefer a more quiet environment, ask for room facing the outside of the hotel. Beds are big. I found the mattress to be rather soft, which isn’t what I like tbh. My backbone is rather sensitive so I ended up with pain in the mornings. Breakfast is bit disappointing. Croissants, dry. Choice rather conservative and not exciting. They do cater for big crowds though. Pool are is very nice and prices are good in the bars. The best about the hotel is their pool animators staff. The leader of that team is a star and he made everyone somehow engage in activities. EVERYONE LOVED HIM.

Loved this hotel
The Check in was fast and all reception staff were very helpful. We had a 1 bedroom suite with half board. There was a lounge diner with a large balcony with great sea view and mountains the other way. There was a large comfortable sofa bed and tv in the lounge. The bedroom had 2 double beds and a tv. There were wardrobes, fridge and plenty of storage. The bathroom was off of a hallway between the lounge and bedroom. It had loo, bidet, shower cubicle plus a bath. The room and hotel were very clean. The food was buffet style. Great variety and very tasty. We didn't explore much of the hotel as we were out a lot but the pool and beach looked very nice. Overall a very good hotel, well worth the money and will be going back.

Nice hotel pity about cold food
Hotel was very nice. Gala dinners very good. But food at buffet could have been a lot hotter, which spoiled it. Did complain about soup but nothing done about it. Would prevent us staying there again.

My disappointment was with the pool / sun beds , the pool and sun beds were not available until 10.40 pm, sun beds locked up with chains around them, hundreds of people just standing waiting, the staff were more interested in the pre stage routine, playing loud music etc, I left the hotel 1 hour later as I was on a business trip, so much for a early swim before breakfast !

A really poor hotel with terrible service, awful food and uncomfortable beds. If you're looking for a place to stay in the Peniscola area, go elsewhere.

Not quite what we expected!
This hotel is smack dab in the middle of Benicarlo and Peniscola. It is a 3 mile (5k) walk to Peniscola (and the castle) which is fine for us, but if you're looking to be closer, this may not be for you. The room was huge, the balcony was lovely. The breakfast was not good, everything seemed to be stale and reheated. I stuck to toast and coffee as we were staying during off-season and nothing else close by was open. I also noticed a rather large amount of retirees staying here; it is a resort, so there is plenty to do without leaving the hotel.

A nice surprise
We found this hotel on Hotels.com when looking for a mid-journey stop. We were very surprised to get a high quality package of bed, breakfast and evening meal for a very reasonable price, accepting it was in February. The room was excellent, clean, two balconies and a really good shower. Evening meal was quite good and the staff very courteous. Breakfast was Ok but spoilt by the fact that we couldn't eat it until 9.00 and other restaurants in the hotel were open earlier but we were not allowed to swop. There were a lot of Spanish pensioners staying on mid-winter breaks and they all seemed content. Overall, very good value for money in a hotel located in a nice spot.

Hotel was good, just not our normal vacation
Keeping in mind that it's an older city and an older hotel, the overall condition was nice. Close to the beach. The room was in good condition, however the air conditioner did not work. We didn't ask for another room, so that's not really thier fault. We just happen to be there when it wasn't so hot. The only thing I believe the hotel could change is the trash pick up. On the side of the hotel where we stayed, every morning trash was being picked up at 3:30 in the morning and it was very loud. The people down there also had a daily conversation speaking very loud to hear over the truck and trash cans. The food was ok. I know that it's not American food, however we ate at several places in Spain on our trip and there were better choices I believe they could have had. If you are a couple that likes to do a lot of things other than sit by the beach, I would recommend staying at a larger city.

Mi experiencia ha sido buena. El único fallo es que las tarjetas de la habitación se nos han desimantado todos los días y hemos tenido que ir los 4 días, a que nos las vuelvan a poner en funcionamiento y eso que ya no las poníamos cerca del móvil. Por todo lo demás muy bien.

Nous sommes venus l’année dernière et tout était plutôt bien c’est pour cela que nous sommes revenus. Cette année chambre tout au bout de l’hôtel côté rue, douche avec de la moisissure, cuvette des toilettes cassée. Nous avions réservé un lit parapluie, il nous a été fourni 3h après notre arrivée. Pour le tarif le buffet du petit déjeuner n’est vraiment pas de qualité. Nous sommes vraiment déçu de notre second séjour dans cet hôtel.

El aire acondicionado de la habitación apenas enfriaba (y hacía un calor infernal), el buffet es terrible tanto desayuno como cena, y en la media pensión no se puede elegir entre comida y cena, es siempre cena. La piscina está colapsada y las tumbonas se quedan ocupadas desde que abren, por gente que deja la toalla para reservarlas.

Horrible. Déjà l arrivée, un bébé et un enfant, je stationne moins de 10 minutes, la réceptionniste me dit sans soucis, au final, la sécurité au retour me fais la leçon de morale "moi ça fait plus de 20 ans que je fais cela, il fait respecter..." !!! Incroyable!!! Après, mon bébé sort avec une banane le matin, on lui refuse!!!! D où on a vu cela? Activités s: nulles de chez nulles...quand a zetty, si on ne réserve pas le restaurant a thème, impossible de la voir, mon bébé s est fait jeté a 1 m car nous n étions pas en tout inclus! Nourriture pas top, rien de maison, et peu de choix .. Personnels non souriants, antipathique a souhait. . Bruyant... A 196 euros la nuit .. c loin de valoir le coup Bref ... A fuir...

Malos olores y puertas que no cierran
Al entrar a la habitación un hedor horroroso que provenia del baño, un ratito y se pasaba, pero era bastante horroroso y si pasabas el día fuera de la habitación al no haber extracción desde el baño volvía a oler. La puerta no cerraba bien y al pasar a limpiar la habitación no comprobaban si se quedaba abierta o cerrada, dejandola abierta, no sólo pasaba con la mía, también pasaba con otras habitaciones que veia por los pasillos. Fui en regimen de desayuno incluido y los precios de las comidas eran exagerados para algunas comidas de buffet.

L’hôtel est bien mais manque de prestations pour un 4 étoiles. Nous avons rencontrer un petit problème nous avons dû le signaler plusieurs fois pendant 1 semaine avant qu’il soit vraiment écouté et il n’a même pas été résolu.
