Aquitaine is wonderfully endowed with cultural and natural attractions, from firm tourist favorites to hidden gems that lay slightly off the beaten path. Head 13 miles (21 kilometers) north to Dax, where you'll find the Casino Barriere de Dax and Stade Maurice Boyau.
When it's time to explore beyond Castets, why not check out the nearest regional area. Bayonne is around 30 miles (48 kilometers) away and is home to sights including Stade Jean Dauger, Chateau de Bayonne and Bayonne Cathedral. Church of Saint-Andre, Bayonne City Hall and Bayonne Arena are other good spots to visit.
Religion is an intrinsic element of every place's DNA, so be sure set aside some time to visit the area's cathedrals and other places of worship. Spend a few hours exploring Aquitaine's art galleries, history museums and art museums. These are good places to hang out, particularly on overcast or inclement days.
No vacation is really complete without a bit of down time. Shore fishing is one of the activities they do to relax in this region and cycling is another. The Aquitaine area has some great places for snorkeling, so ensure you leave time to fit that in. Swimming is another watersport here.
You'll never want to bid "Au revoir / À bientôt" (farewell) to this interesting place.
