“A trip to the Island”

We found all staff was great with us, clean rooms and the grounds were kept very clean. Great shuttle sevice as soon as we got off the boat and the 4 days we were there. And since due to weather and not getting off the island when we wanted to they were great and gave us a good deal for another night.

Exactly as we expected. Service was good, close to everything. Had a great time, didn't stay at hotel much there was plenty to in two days.

“Great Place”

It was clean and friendly. The hotel shuttle ran every 15 minutes or less. Very nice. I would stay again.

“Don't worry about the hilly location”

Was pleasantly surprised. I've been to Avalon and nothing there is spectacular. I was booking late for Memorial Weekend. Catalina Canyon is way up the hill. Killer walk, away from all the fun and bustle. BUT...they have shuttles that drop you off in town whenever you want. And pick you up at the Ferry. Seriously, we never waited more than a minute on either side, for a ride. It's like having a car and not having to park it (Tip your drivers please. They will treat you right). So being up on the hill is not a bother. Kinda nice to get away from it all. The room and the resort were much better than expected (remember, I wasn't expecting much). A small pool, hot tub, and a bar/restaurant that we never used. Everyone was friendly. It was clean. Not sure why the plumber bolted the toilet down about 15 degrees crooked, but that was more humorous than annoying. I'd stay there again. But don't expect the level of hotels on the mainland. This is more like going back in time. Not enough room (or travelers I would guess) to have a huge 5-star resort on the island. We were there for kayaking and diving. Not to sit in our hotel and never leave. I will say though, if the weather had not cooperated, we would have been ok staying in the complex for an entire day.

Though this was my first time staying in Catalina, I can't imagine staying anywhere else the next time I go back. The hotel was beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, and I loved that it was far enough away from all the noise and the crowds, yet close enough that it was still within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants.

Highly satisified with the hotel. Only one negative: The dining room and menu (we only sampled breakfast) were below par. Breakfast came cold and room not particularly comfortable.

“Great hotel and reasonably priced”

Staff was friendly and very accomodating. We requested adjoining rooms and the hotel staff honored our request and gave us rooms that were convenient to front desk, pool, and restaurant. The rooms were clean, the hotel and grounds were well-maintained, and the courtesy vans were wonderful. Definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Overall my stay was very plesant and i will be coming back again... hopefully sometime in the near future.

My boyfriend and I loved this hotel. The room was beautiful and had the most comfortable beds and pillows we've ever slept on. They offer a round trip complimentary shuttle service to and from your cruise. It also shuttles you from your hotel to and from Avalon whenever you want up to 8:45pm. The pool area is stunning. It has gorgeous tropical landscaping, large blue pool and jacuzzi...really nice photo background!
