“Was absoutley perfect!!!!”

The room was just great!

“Great for those who like to cook their own meals. Very clean and comfortable.”

Our room was exactly as it was described and appeared in the online photo. But it actually had even more ammenites than were apparent in the picture. The kitchen was very well stocked with plates, utensils, and cookware. There were even decent wine glasses. Bathroom was clean, but no frills. The room was large and spacious, with plenty of room for our famiily of 2 adults, a teenager, and a 6 year old. The maids did a quick and awesome job of cleaning up. Ivan is very accomodating in person, but was a little abrupt on the phone which gave the wrong impression of him initially. It was pouring rain when our boat arrived, but I had called ahead to advise of our late arrival time, and he sent a complimentary taxi shuttle down to pick us up. It is a trek up the hill, but unless you are really out of shape, you should be all right. I liked that it was in a quiet neighborhood, a little back from the main part fronting the ocean. It was very peaceful, and we even had an ocean view. All for a great value when you consider how expensive Catalina is on the whole.

“Great place to relax”

This hotel is just off the beaten path and is a great place to relax and enjoy some island time. While we didn't take advantage of the full kitchen but, had we been there longer, definitely would have. Will keep this place in mind for our next trip to Catalina.

“Nothin fancy but just right for me!”

This place is not fancy but had everything that we needed. I like the mini suites with a full kitchen and all the stuff you need to stay for a stretch of time. Clean; nice staff; close to downtown; quiet. I will return for a longer stay next time.

Very nice and quiet. For an older couple, the hill was a little steep, if not for that we would definitely stay again.

we had a great time visiting the el terado terrace! the rooms are big and clean! we got more for our money than we even expected.the walk uphill was hard for my older mom, so we just took a cab up the hill for a few dollars, and probklem solved,we are planning to visit again and we will stay at this hotel agian. the manager,Ivan was so so nice to us and even upgradeed us to a larger room. which we loved thanks Ivan!.

Staff helpful and courteous, only problem was mattress could use an upgrade there ..

You should take these reviews with a grain of salt. Some people are never satisfied. After reading some of the negative ones, we were cautiously optimistic. What we found was a very clean and spacious room that fit our needs perfectly. We ate out at restaurants a few times but used the kitchen for most of our meals. Vons is right down the street, as is everything else you might need. We ate on the patio and relaxed there after activities. It was very quiet because it was mid-week, off season. The view was typical small beach community with a glimpse of the ocean through the tight surrounding buildings and trees. We thought the neighborhood was charming and very Avalon. The manager was very friendly and accommodating to our needs(thank you). The walk up the hill, about 200 yards, might be hard for those with special needs but we found it great exercise. Be sure to take advantage of the free taxi service from the boat dock. Overall we had a most excellent adventure and we will stay there again for sure.

“Roomy, convenient and quiet”

The Terrado Terrace is a great choice for those looking for a quiet place to serve as home base. Full kitchens and good sized bathrooms go a long way to creating a "home away from home feeling. Be prepared to walk up a fairly steep hill for a few blocks. Those who aren't up for this may want to consider a place closer to the water.

“Will stay again”

Was a nice quite place maybe 4 or. 5 minutes from the main drag on the ocean. Was not pricey and gave us the room for a about 5 extra hours till our boat left. So nice
