“Beautiful guest house”

We had a lovely week at Casale Romano. The guest house was a perfect location for us as we had a hire car, which you do need if you are going to see other parts of Sicily. Sabina and her family were on hand for any questions we had and their service was great. We stayed in the apartment area of the guest house, which was a little outdated and could have done with more utensils as we had self catering and ate lunch in the apartment. The only down side we had was that we had to take out our own rubbish and supply our own toilet tissues. We had dinner once at CR which was a home cooked meal and reasonably priced and the rest of the was spent down in Giardini Naxos. The pool area was very relaxing and though the guest house is on a main road you don't tend to hear much traffic. The scenery is amazing and a visit to Gole Alcantara is a must. We also used the spa at the guest house. Should we visit Sicily again,we would definitely go back to Casale Romano

“made to feel so welcomed!”

Casele Romano was ideally located for anyone wishing to travel around this side of the island.car esential! Sabina and family made every guest feel welcome, offering lots of advise and local knowledge. The appartment was spacious and had a Siclian feel. All the buildings looked sympathetically restored, and the pool area was secluded and private with stunning views of the Alacantra moutains, and distant sea views.(8kms) The cooking facilities were great, but Sabina's evening meals proved to be too tempting!the local wine was also excellent. The resort had a relaxed and easy going feel, typical Sicilian. Definitley worth a visit.

“Very pleasant and homely”

Situated on the North East of the island away from the crowded tourist areas, Casale Romano is a beautiful and friendly place to stay. Sabina, her family and their dog Harold made us feel so welcome. They are incredibly proud of the retreat they have created and look after it well. The family live onsite and so were always pottering around if we needed them. Casale Romano is an excellent alternative to the over-priced, over-rated hotels in nearby Taormina. We stayed here for 11 nights and there was plenty to keep us occupied for the whole time. Every two days, Sabina invited us to stay for dinner, which we did four times. Everything is home-grown and her cooking is exquisite. Sabina and her husband love to talk about the food; how it's cooked and it's traditional Sicilian influences. Everything was very reasonably priced. Sabina's knowledge of the local area proved invaluable during our stay. We would let her know our plans every morning and she always knew the best route to take, what to do and see and other attractions to look out for on the way. She even invited us out on the family boat on our last day and then sent us home with armfuls of fresh lemons and oranges picked from the trees in her gardens. As it is quite secluded hiring a car is essential. But more than this, a car is very handy for getting around Sicily in general. I think we would have been at a disadvantage without one. There is ample parking onsite. Wwe couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

“Welcoming, relaxing and uncrowded!”

Sabine and her team did a marvellous job at welcoming for the week. Although we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, we often took evening meals at Casale Romano too which costed surprisingly little. Delicious traditional Sicilian cooking, with the emphasis on fresh - no frozen food here! Furthermore, the menu changed every night with no repeats throughout the week. The room was very nice, air conditioned with a nice view of various fruit trees and the hills. The thing we liked the most about Casale Romano was that despite it being one of the busiest tourist weeks in Sicily when we were there, it provided a really nice retreat away from the masses and a swimming pool. Highly recommended and great value - you will not be disappointed!

“Casale Romano - a home from home”

Our 8 days at Casale Romano recently were wonderfully relaxed and enjoyable. Sabina's very welcoming guest house was a perfect location for us as we intended to see the north-eastern part of Sicily using our hire car, which is essential for exploring the mountain villages and Etna. Every day, Sabina made sure that we had everything we needed and gave plenty of helpful suggestions about our daily trips. Having dinner at CR was a central feature of our holiday - it was always simple but delicious home cooked food, so we ate 'at home' six times in all! Our room was perfectly adequate - spacious and airy, with a useful balcony. We enjoyed being able to use the pool area very much as a relaxation after a day out. Although the guest house is on a main road the traffic does not intrude. Sicilian people are lovely and very friendly, the scenery is stunning and the architecture beautiful. Highly recommended.

“A Real Treat”

This hotel is a real treat if you are looking for a peaceful break to recharge your batteries. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the owners. Their gererousity, kindness and hospitality was first rate, nothing was too much trouble for them. We had the 'Superior' class of room which was spacious and comfortable. There is not an evening meal offered every night, but when it is the standard of food is excellent, as is the local wine. The only downside is the closeness of the road (which can't be seen), but this is more than compensated by the views from around the swimming pool.

“"A delightful guest house with a warm welcome"”

Sabina and her husband made us feel so very welcome and went to a great deal of trouble to make our holiday experience special. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and on the day they decorated our room with a flower arrangement and flower petals on the bed. They gave us good advice on where to visit each day. We especially liked the setting of Casale Romano Resort Guest House surrounded by the fruit trees with the colours of the fuit and the perfume of the flowers. It was lovely and peaceful to sit in those surroundings.

“Would visit again a great place to stay”

The Guest house was fantastic. The room was well layed out with all the facilities you would expect. It was clean and pleasant, the food was total wonderful and the pricing was acceptable. THe host's were great very freindly and helpful when plnning your trips. The location of the guest house was only a short distance from the nearest town, but well situated to relax and enjoy the wonderful countryside from your window. There was a swimming pool and sunbathing area for those not as adventurous.

“Would definately stay again”

We booked 8 nights in this guesthouse and we cannot praise the owners enough! The food was utterly fantastic, we ate there every night and the owners took their time to explain each dish no matter what nationality you were! We spent a good few nights chatting to other people staying there and also the owners. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, it was cleaned every day and was an excellent base in which to explore Sicily. We will be going back there within the next couple of years for certain!
