“Great Find”

Wonderful experience. Front desk clerk was former Italy fencing champion and very engaging and helpful. Arranged for to-go breakfast due to our early morning departure to catch a flight. Roof terrace restaurant equally engaging. Felt like we were staying at an elegant private club/residence. Parking on-site in courtyard. Most impressed with service, friendliness and overall character. Only wished we had more than one short night there.

“Hotel Royal - Catania”

This hotel is hidden away and easy to miss. You wouldn't know it from the outside, but this is a very nice hotel. It is centrally located, the rooms are very nice, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

“Miss it already!!”

The hotel is quirky and creatively designed. The location of the Hotel was perfect for us. It is located up a steep road off of a main street full of shops and cafe's. The bus stop is not too far and takes 25 minutes approx. to go to the sandy or rocky beach whichever you prefer. It is a 20 minute walk to the train station or you could get the bus. The hotel serves amazing foods for dinner and has a nice selection to choose from the menu, if you cant decide, the waited will advise you on the best combination. Excellent, friendly, welcoming and kind staff work at the hotel and we could not have asked for a better service from check in to check out. Highly recommend this hotel for those who wish to stay in the heart of Catania and be surrounded by real Sicilians and also for those who like to venture out by bus/train/car to see many of Sicily's beautiful landscapes and historical marks.

“Wonderful”

This hotel made our stay in Catania perfect. The staff were incredible, the meal at the hotel was our favorite meal in all our travels across Italy, and the staff were eager to help out in any way they could. I can't say enough about this hotel. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and it was simply perfect.

The room in this hotel border on luxurious. Great views from the window and balcony. Fantastic location, near the cathedral, main shopping and eating district. We had a reservation at another hotel which got cancelled, so we got upgraded to this hotel - best luck ever!

“A gem right in the historic centre of Catania”

Very attractive and pleasant place to stay, in the old town, just a short walk from the cathedral and the Roman Theatre. Very nice staff. Good evening meal on the terrace overlooking the old city. Room decor is in keeping with the origins of the building as an old palazzo and the rooms have names derived from the musical works of Bellini, rather than numbers.

“Best in Sicily”

This was by far the best hotel we stayed in Sicily, it has a convenient ubication, ther service is excelent, the rooms are amazing, the terraze where we had breakfast is great. The only bad thing is that is a bit far from the bus station and it is hard to find taxis if you arrive late in the evening. Make sure to catch one because the walk is long and is upward.

“A really beautiful hotel”

The Hotel Royal lives up to its name as we were treated royally! The staff were friendly and helpful and one young man was far better at telling us places to visit than the very surly and uncommunicative person in the Information place in town. Our room was perfect and sitting on the balcony sipping cool wine a pleasure. Breakfast was certainly more than adequate and the terrace is a beautiful place to eat. We had one meal in the hotel which was excellent with very attentive service from the Maitre d'. Also good for a late evening drink, watching the world below go by. Turn left out of the hotel and up the hill to the Cantina del Sole - friendly, good service and very good food.! If possible, go to a performance at the Theatre Bellini - it is amazing inside. Go up to the foyer on 3rd floor for prossecco during the interval - wonderful!

“A beautiful small classic hotel”

This hotel, located close to the centre of Catania, blends into the streetscape but opens into a fine old hotel. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Parking costs extra but is secure and convenient, in the courtyard. The hotel restaurant is veryhigh class, witha limted menu. Mount Etna is visible form many rooms and the restaurant.
