Lovely Italian B&B
We had a lovely stay at La Zagara, the owners are very friendly and hospitable and can’t do enough for you. The owners asked us on arrival and each evening what time we would like breakfast the following morning and put on a typical Italian continental breakfast for us. Our room was spacious with a small balcony and washing line. Room was clean, comfortable had a boutique feel to it. There was a TV, air con, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. La Zagara is only a short walk from the main square and there is a bus stop which is just outside La Zagara. There is a small shop opposite La Zagara. B&B is upstairs so could be tricky for those with mobility issues.

La Zagara is an excellent choice. It has a nice cozy character. Mina, who did the check in for us, is a very helpful and polite host. We would love to come back.

Very Nice Staff and Good Rooms

Il mio soggiorno qui, anche se breve, è stato ottimo. Mina è stata molto gentile e disponibile. La stanza ed il bagno erano pulitissimi e l’ambiente in generale è curato. Altro punto positivo è la vicinanza al centro storico e ai punti di interesse principali della città.

Molto grazioso!
Questo b&b è molto carino, pulito, situato a 5 minuti di cammino da piazza Duomo, la colazione è a mio avviso è ottima e abbondante, la si fa nella cucina dei proprietari e la signora, gentilissima, prepara anche torte fatte in casa. Siccome si trova al secondo piano di un palazzo senza ascensore bisogna tenere conto che bisogna farsi delle rampe di scale a piedi, comunque per me non è stato un problema. Se dovessi tornare a Catania mi piacerebbe tornare qui!!!!

a reasonable place to stay
The entrance to the building may mislead you, but once you reach the right floor, everything is exactly as presented in the pictures. The room was neat, the bathroom was enough (tight shower cabin), but otherwise okay - independently working AC, everyday cleaning and change of towels (expect on Sundays). The owners were on site and took good care of me, despite having limited English vocabulary or none at all. I could always count on a cup of coffee and something to eat, whether it was my declared breakfast time or two hours later. The scanning of a document took place at the beginning and the payment at the end. The room I stayed in (the red one) had a window facing a back alley and it was quiet from outside, but you could hear the refrigerator working in the adjacent room. For someone with sensitive hearing it wasn't unbearable, though - you'd rather wake up to the sounds of other guests coming out of their rooms or chatting in the kitchen. The neighbourhood was nothing special, just a busy street, but no one at night to bother you. Overall a reasonable place to stay with all the necessary accommodations.

Si bien la ubicación es buena conforme a los puntos de interés turístico, el servicio brindado no alcanzó mis expectativas, el establecimiento no es agradable, el edificio parece abandonado por fuera y hay que subir varias escaleras con la valija porque no posee asensor, los dueños no nos aconsejaron nada en particular para hacer en lo que respecta a la ciudad, la habitación podría ser más moderna al igual que el baño y por último el desayuno fue pobre, esperaba mucho más del lugar por la puntuación que tenía.

Eccezionale rapporto qualità / prezzo. In più - questo non ha prezzo - gentilezza e disponibilità ineguagliabili. Siamo state accolte da Mina e la sua famiglia come se ci conoscessero da sempre e ci hanno dato consigli ed assistenza su tutto. Il b&b è molto carino; anche se il palazzo è antico le stanze sono state risistemate con cura nei dettagli, la pulizia è impeccabile e la colazione ottima. Siamo state anche fortunate perchè abbiamo potuto assaggiare una magnifica torta al cioccolato fatta in casa ed il vero caffè napoletano della signora Carmela. Sicuramente consigliato e sicuramente ci tornerò se dovessi tornare a Catania.

Die Gastwirtin Mina ist zwar ein bisschen verrückt aber sehr zuvorkommend und liebevoll. Meine Mutter ist 78 Jahre alt und pingelig, war aber sofort von der familiären Atmosphäre begeistert. Wir hatten täglich frische Handtücher und die liebe Mina fragte stets nach, ob wir etwas benötigen. Das Zimmer war sehr hübsch eingerichtet, und großzügig eingeteilt. Accueillis par Mina toujours très souriante et disponible,nous avons séjourné dans une grande et belle chambre calme et climatisée.La propreté est irréprochable quant au petit déjeuner rien à redire,car comprenant le premier matin que nous aurions souhaité des Oeufs durs,le lendemain matin on nous les avait fait expressément.Bien situé de ce B&B permet de faire la visite de Catane à pieds,de plus les bus ne sont pas loin pour rejoindre l'aéroporT.En conclusion le rapport qualité /prix est excellent et si nous devons revenir à Catane nous retournerons les yeux fermés à la zagara.

Süßes B&B in zentraler Lage

近所の修道院での会議出席のために利用。ちいさな机を入れて欲しい旨をつたえたら、すぐに入れてくれました。過ってタオル掛けを壊してしまったときもすばやく修理してくれ、大変たすかりました。施設としては、トイレと部屋の間の扉がきちんとしまらない、水が出にくくなることがあるなど不便なことがあり、こういうことを笑って済ませられる方のシングルユースが基本のように思います。Wifi は安定。空港からの送迎あり(有料)。ホテルの方が焼く朝食のパイやケーキはおいしかったです。

La stanza è carina, arredata con gusto, anche se piccola. Non ha una gran vista, nè un grande bagno, ma se viene usata per poche notti o solo per dormire, va benissimo. Buoni letto e cuscini. I gestori sono molto gentili. Wifi (non sempre perfetto), televisore (difficoltà di sintonia e troppo decentrato) e aria condizionata. La posizione è abbastanza centrale, a 10 minuti a piedi dal Duomo. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Évidemment la chambre individuelle est plus petite et avec un lit super large qui prends à peu près tout l'espace disponible. Pour le Shuttle a l'aéroport, on m'a presque engueule parce que mon avion avait un peu de retard.... mais qu'y puis je? L'entrée du bloc, le Bed and Breakfast se trouvant au deuxième etage, donc une plus de 20 marches à escalader, plutôt déprimant .... Enfin la famille parle exclusivement italien, ils ont un horaire pour faire le manage, etc etc
