Not good

Posted Jul 5, 2011
This hotel was a spooky place. All other hotels in the area were booked but this was almost empty. Getting into the room from the parking area did not feel safe. The room was worn out and not very clean. The beds were bad.

In a pinch...

Posted Jun 14, 2011
I don't want to be too critical of the hotel as I was really in a pinch to find a room and all Saugerties/Kingston hotels were booked for the HITS horse show but the hotel definitely needs updating (which the front desk admitted to me upon check out). The rate was great but if they put some money into renovations, they could easily charge more. Very convenient location right off exit 21, with a gas station/Stewarts right across the street.

Quality?....no!

Posted Apr 26, 2011
I did book a room that allowed pets and smoking so that may not be totally representative of the entire hotel. My room was not ready until 4 then when I went back at 4 it still wasn't ready. There was 1 other car in the entire parking lot - so I do not think they were busy by any means. The room and linens reeked. My traveling companion said he spent the night trying to keep his face from facing the linens because they smelled so bad.

Awful Experience

The hotel is run down and dirty. The staff is poorly trained and unprofessional. It was a nightmare travel experience. Unfortunately for us, there were no better options close by.
