Nice hotel close to the airport

Stayed here for one night before flying out of Cebu. The pool is nice but the beach isn't anything to get excited about. Hotel rooms were very comfortable!

Be Resorts may not be the last fashion hotel but it is well situated on the sea side with a private beach, and a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and helpful, yet the service may be improved (took a long time to get drinks, order delivered to others customers...)

The hotel is old and run down and not up to todays standards with airconditioning and wi fi. Wallpaper was peeling, towels were raggety, mold on the sink, pillow case and towels had stains even though they had been washed they should not have been used, some of sitting area furniture was stained. Wi Fi only in the open air lobby which is very hot and humid. Very few people staying there or have stayed there since when I turned on the shower the water was brown from sitting in the pipes to long. Staff was very nice, view spectacular but the hotel itself needs to be redone. It does not live up to its pictures on the site and I was extremely disappointed and only stayed one night vs. three. I will not be recommending this to hotel to coworkers.

The room is spacious, equipped with modern flat TV and very good airconditioning system, ref, safe deposit box. The 2 queen-sized beds were very comfortable. We always had very good sleep. Our ocean view room is beautiful. No complains on the bathroom. The staff were also always willing to help. I am only dissatisfied with the hotel restaurant. The prices are very high and 2 lady waitress were not so well trained. - The hotel was full packed when we were there because of the Ironman Philippines event.

No food available in the restaurant

Posted Apr 22, 2012
The hotel was lovely but service was terrible. We tried to eat in the restaurant and there was only about 1/2 of items available on the menu. Ordering drinks or food was like we were interrupting the staff, who hid when they saw us come into the restaurant - we were the only patrons in the restaurant. This hotel is great if you just want to stay there and not eat. Breakfast was ok (part of nightly rate).

Be Resorts in Lapu-Lapu fails in service

Posted Jan 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
It is a good hotel, but in backyard there is no grass or trees, in opposition with other better hotels in the surroundings. It is expensive for what it offers. The front desk took hours to find our reservation and in the end still made us pay an expensive hour in their computer to resend it for them, when they should offer it by free, since it was not our fault.

Great place for an overnight prior to flying home.

Pros: design features
We stayed here because we had a flight from Cebu the next day and it was a perfect choice. The hotel is very modern with lots of really nice design features. The food is OK though breakfast , which was included , was a little limited. The cost of transfer to the airport is far too high - just ask the doorman to get you a taxi and you pay a fraction of the price. Whilst there cross the road and speak to the local people - they were more than happy to chat .

Cebu resorts

If you are accoustomed to a good beach, things to do and a good food selection this hotel is not for you. Overall the beachs on Mactaw are not sand beachs and the one at this resort is not natural but just some dumped down coral gravel between two concrete piers. This makes the ocean swimming almost non existant since the ocean walk out can be a litle sketchy with sea irchin and kelp and not a good sand walkout.. No one actually swam in ocean just in the pool. The food selection was very, very limited and over priced for the Philippines and the included breakfast was really a joke. I recommend leaving the hotel to eat but that includes a 15 minute taxi ride. I have stayed in several hotels around the Philipinnes and this by far was my worst experience. I am one that deals with conditions when traveling wanting to experience new cultures and things but this had no native feel or any pleasurable atmosphere it was very disappointing. I would recommend Boracay or Palawan over Cebu to anyone visiting the Philipinnes if you want tourist resorts. If you want just relexation and decent beachs with good prices go to Malapasqua island north of Cebu island. There is nothing in walking distance to this resort. The security feels more like it is there to keep you in than keep others out. I would never stay here again for any reason. This is not a 3.5 star resort by any means.
