Bait and SwitchPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: Staff is very good and well trained. This is the only strong plus for this hotel.
Cons: Dated rooms and windows are very noisy to the street. You will listen to it all night, unless you are a deep sleeper. Rooms have poor lighting.
Location: Very busy area and it could be dangerous walking around, especially older people, because you must often walk in the busy road, with the cars.
You can get the decent rate on Expedia, but the Parklane will gouge you if you extend your stay. Sounds strange but it is true. They increase the rate by about 35%, and will not continue to give you the decent original price. I have traveled many places in the world, and this is the first time that I have experienced this. They would not continue with the original room rate - Bait and Switch - Apparently the staff has experienced this situation many times before, and they know exactly how to handle it. It is obvious that the management have trained them how to handle this uncomfortable situation. They are well trained. But it is still a Bait and Switch.

Not Up To DatePosted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: House keeping was very helpful in getting a nice crib for our daughter and anything we needed fast.
Cons: Room Service
Location: Not a clue
I have been in many hotels around the World. The rug was dirty and the furniture was very old with the finish peeling off.Ordered room service for my family ,and they messed up the order three times. Not even giving you anything back complimentary for that horrible room service! The Dinner Buffet is more Filipino then International very small selection and not very tasty. The Breakfast was somewhat better, waiter was very polite and helpful on getting a big tip for him lol. They need to change around there staff and have a more responsible crew working.I will never go there again. My recomendation stay at the Marco Polo or Radisson Blu in Cebu City. Thanks Again

Short but SweetPosted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful, hotel is centrally located, and very clean and comfortable.
Cons: I am not able to comment on anything that needs to be improved.
Location: As previously mentioned, The hotel is well located and close to the city centre and transport, Again, my stay did not allow me to do go anywhere.
I had a very short stay at the Cebu Parklane Hotel, but from experience I can say that it is a very comfortable hotel to stay even longer. I have been rcommended other hotels in Cebu, but I will definately use Cebu Parklane again.

Good enough, BUT.Posted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've stayed at the Parklane a few times before and I can say that they can really provide value for the money (i.e. location, cleanliness, and all those good stuff). I was just a bit disappointed with how they dealt with a concern I raised regarding some noise from outside my hotel room window. They insisted that it was coming from a repair/maintenance being done on another floor. The solution they provided: they advised the repairs to be stopped. But I know that the noise that woke me up in the middle of my sleep (at around noon) came from outside, so it continued for a some time until the early afternoon. Thank goodness, it stopped. Soundproofing your rooms is an integral part of making customers' stays more comfortable.

Reasonable Hotel Close to Ayala Mall.Posted Aug 12, 2013
The entrance is kind of tight; right off a busy street. I was expecting something more "luxurious." Once inside, it does open up and looks quite nice. My room was small and only had space for one nightstand which was annoying (because my gf took that side of the bed); there was no view whatsoever; and the AC broke down during my stay and had to be repaired. Sure I could have upgraded my room but I didn't feel a need - I only needed a place to shower and sleep. I was somewhat disappointed though; I felt mislead from the photos. The breakfast buffet is awesome; nice selection, cool décor, friendly staff. I regret not seeing the pool. The location is excellent. It's in a nice area and footsteps away from Ayala mall. As an American, I should note that your AC plugs will work here so no need for an adapter. I'd stay here again but I'd upgrade my room - I really need my own nightstand.

Loved the hotel. Wonderful array of breakfast items. Only suggestion would be to use much less oil.

Extremely bad wifiPosted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
I paid for a boutique room and expected better than normal service and quality. On the 1st day itself I had to complain about the poor wifi connection. Also the hot water in the shower did not function. The 2nd day saw the wifi problem still not rectified and the hotel giving various excuses. I had no choice but to check out that same evening without staying the night as I needed the internet for some work. I would not recommend this hotel especially for business travelers.

Good Location, Old Room, Lousy BreakfastPosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall a all right stay, however I found the styling old and the condition of the toilet not good. The breakfast spread was also not good.

Awful Place To StayPosted Jun 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place did not meet my expectations. The bathroom was terrible. No water pressure. The tub, sink, toilet were dirty! The rooms were filthy!
