IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A STAFF THAT GOES FAR BEYOND WHAT YOU EXSPECT THIS IS YOUR HOTEL. THE RESTURANT IS EXCELLENT, FOOD QUALITY FIVE STAR. THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN AND FURNISHINGS MAKE THE STAY FEEL JUST LIKE HOME. TWENTY FOUR HOUR COFFEE SHOP AND CONVIENCE STORE ON PROPERTY. WITH A EXCELLENT SECURITY STAFF GIVES A FEELING OF TOTAL SECURITY AND PEACE OF MIND.I RECOMMEND TAXI SERVICE TO TRAVEL UNLESS YOU ARE A GRAND PRIX TYPE DRIVER. HIRING A DRIVER FOR THE DAY IS EXCELLENT AND AFORDIBLE. ENGLISH IS SPOKEN BUT HAVING A DRIVER/CEBUANO SPEAKING NATIVE IS BEST.THERE IS PLENTY TO SEE AND BEATIFUL BEACHES TO VISIT. VISIT ONE OF THE LARGER MALLS FOR GREAT BARGAINS AND GREAT FOOD.STEER AWAY FROM STREET VENDER FOOD AND ONLY DRINK BOTTLED WATER AND YOU WILL BE FINE. CEBU IS A WONDERFUL PLACE AND THE PEOPLE ARE FIENDLY SO TREAT THEM AS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. RESPECT GOES A LONG WAY. {WARNING USE ONLY METERED TAXI'S.} THEY HAVE A SCAM SET UP AT {OCEAN CAT} AND {SUPER CAT} FERRIES. WHEN YOU RETURN DON'T LET THE PORTER TAKE YOUR BAGS. HE WILL TAKE YOU OUT THE GATE AND CHARGE YOU 100 PESOS, PLACE YOU IN A TAXI THAT OVER CHARGES . STAY IN COMPOUND AND ASK THE TICKET PEOPLE TO CALL A METERED TAXI. OR CALL THE HOTEL YOU ARE STAYING AND HAVE THEM PICK YOU UP.{I AM CERTAIN THE FERRY COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF THIS PROBLEM HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE CORRECTED.}

“It was ok.”

The first three nights were fine. Then the blackout hit, our airconditioning quit working. We tried to just passed the night since it was very late. The very next day we called the housekeeping to fix the air and it worked for a little bit then the power went out again. When the power came back the air broke one more time. We had no air for two nightsand it was uncomfortable, but the traffic noise and the barking dogs was a nuisance it kept us awake at night. The kitchen was not a big deal for us since we did not plan on cooking but if you plan on cooking make sure to ask for your propane tank, and kitchen utensils as soon as you check-in. We are not that spoiled that we just ride it all. The breakfast was good but if there were some continental breakfast aside from all Filipino buffet it would have been great since we were traveling with kids. Overall the hotel was nice, the staff are friendly but there are things we just have to accept and make adjustments.

“Very Nice”

It was a wonderfull experience. I loved the service. Very friendly staff. My only dissapointment has nothing to do with hotel.It is definatly worth the price. I wish I would have gotten a hotel on the beach- that was my fault- not the hotel Crown Regency. The Beach is no where around-- but if thats not important to you, The Crown Regency is a great place to stay.

“WOW, What a Great place to stay”

We hightly recommend the Crown Regency Mactan hotel. Every aspect of our stay was superb. We enjoyed the "up to the door" taxi service and great breakfast buffet. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. The location was close to the main malls and beaches. Simply a terrific bargain!

“The northwest or southwest corners would be the best rooms to get!”

The hotel was well located for my needs. The room was great and clean. I only wish they supplied more utensils for their kitchen, (silverware, plates, pots, pans, knives, utensils are not supplied), i got this room for the kitchen so i could cook for myself and save some money on food. They did supply a rice cooker and toaster oven. You do need to request the propane for the stove when you get there. The staff was great and very friendly and the doormen were awesome at getting cabs. The free breakfast was pretty good but if you get there later like any buffet style restaurant the food might be old, best if you get there first thing in the AM. One thing to watch for is the north side of the building is right next to a Lecheon place and although for 75% of my stay it was relatively quiet they got busy the last few days i was there and the squealing noise of them killing pigs at all times of the morning day and night can get really creepy and annoying. It is very loud and unsettling. If you've never heard it pigs don't die very easy and it can take up to 5 minutes for them to die and they have a deathly squeal the whole time. If i need to stay there again i will request the south side of the building. The view from the north side is nice though, great view of Mandaue city and Cebu city and both bridges, great sunrises. If you can live with occasional pig killing noise the north side is great. All-in-all it was a fantastic place to stay, great service and staff!! Great Price!

“Very nice”

I was very happy with the hotel and i would definitely stay again. The staff were extremely polite and did the best they could to make my visit enjoyable. Issue: My main issue and this is reflective of Asia. I prefer to bath with a washcloth. They dont have any. Also, they pipe the TV into the bathroom. There was no way to lower the volume. I also like to have a vent in the bathroom.

The best staff friendly but a holiday is what you make of it I just wish I could of brought the bed and pillows home. The food was okay but when I look back at it the food in Cebu was not the best so what they had was okay. Nice friendly Bar upstairs as well, and okay pool. breakfast the same almost every day I did not understand rice was eaten with every meal and in kfc lol chicken and rice not in my country.

“I will book again next year”

The hotel was four star plus. Price was very reasonable for this type of good hotel. Free breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly. In outside hot temperature. a/c worked well in the room. Free internet in the room. Wireless was available at the lobby. A convenient store was attached next to the hotel. While I and my wife stayed for 5 night, we were very satisfied. No complaints

“GRAHAM,WASHINGTON STATE”

I only got to stay a little over a day then I was off to the airport. My room was good and I loved the bed. I need to get me one. The only issue with me is getting a taxi after 9pm at night. It was difficult and took some time. But yes I will stay there again.
