“ok for low dubget travellers”

the location is so so and not so close to posh areas in cebu city.. however the staff is friendly and is ok for low budget travellers... problem is the double rooms seem to be always equiped with two single beds, never double bed... internet expensive also..

“Cebu Philippines Diplomat Hotel for the BUDGET traveler- GREAT DEAL”

I have read some of the critical reviews of this hotel. Look it's a discount hotel for a very, very, very reasonable rate, personally I think the VALUE was 5star. For the price and for the amenities offered this was a very good deal. I found the restaurant/room service acceptable (variety; quality of food); the staff was great from the front desk to house keeping to the security to the maintenance staff that came with in two minutes to repair my shower. I would stay here if I need to budget, my stay this time was for 12 days. The location was with in a shopping and light business district, I felt safe. I had no issues at all. Take care and don't believe all the negative comments of cheap people probably with unrealistic expectations. Sometimes in life you have to make the best out of your situation. But I had no negative experiences with the hotel. For my last two days in the Philippines, I flew to Manila and checked into a 5 Star property for ten times more per night that was also a great deal that exceeded all of my expectations. Good Luck, execchefwalt

“you get what u pay!”

Location not so good though there is a mall near by and centric located in downtown Cebu but you will need a taxi to move. You get what you pay. Internet in the room expensive

“Budget Friendly - For Tourist”

I stayed in 3 hotels over my 3 week vacation in Cebu, Philippines. This by far from a budget stand point wins hands down. Staff very friendly, i felt safe the entire time from security & front desk staff. Taxi's readily available right out front of the hotel. Mostly everyone spoke great english so language was not a problem. I am planning my next stay in Cebu, Philippines & knowing what i know now - hands down i would stay here again.

“Overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke”

This would otherwise be a good hotel if it wasn't for the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Nice washroom, great shower, good sized rooms and good location but all 3 rooms our group stayed in reeked of smoke. One of our group requested another room which was no better and the toilet was on continuous flush. Our washroom floor was also unusually wet and slippery. The entire hotel is smoking and everything stinks and is stained by cigarette smoke (windows and mirrors especially). Luckily we only stayed one night. I wouldn't recommend any longer.

“not what I expected”

I had booked this hotel based on reviews and pictures on the internet. Big mistake, the staff is totally unfriendly and unhelpful. The room was really dirty, the sheets were dirty as were the bathroom towels. Dustballs all over the room, it smelled musty with horrible ac. I was supposed to stay there 1 week and after one night left for another hotel..do not go there, you will be dissapointed.

“If its only a for few days its okay”

The hotel is not in the best of locations but Singapore is an expensive city. If you are staying a few days this is okay but for a longer stay try elsewhere. The sheets were dirty with red stains and 'other' stains...We did ask for new ones and they changed them...it was not the best but certainly much better. the room size was small but nothing to get stressed over its really not that bad…a bit of nightly traffic in and out at night...but overall if you don’t want to spend A LOT and are there for a short time it is doable if you’re not too extremely fussy. Little India was not the magical place people promised but it is worth seeing if you have nothing to do. The Singapore Slings are $25 ea at the raffles hotel…but they do taste different from the ones at other locations….catching a cab can be complicated unless if arranged before hand…

“DON'T STAY HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Staff were very unhelpful and unprofessional. Lots of people hanging around chatting and missing the opportunity to help me with our luggage. Also the front desk staff were very unhelpful in sorting out my request for the free internet - which I never got to use (twice). Very tired interior to the rooms, no hot water on two separate stays and issues with the safety deposit box. Having been to 108 countries worldwide and stayed in tents to 5 star hotels, I would rate this a 1 star hotel. TOTAL DISSAPOINTMENT - CAVEAT EMPTOR !!!!!
