Cons: Stop charging guests for parking!
We wanted to attend the Iowa Parents Weekend and booked a hotel late, so we were stuck with the Marriott. Over $400 a night! The hotel was nice, but they charge $8 a day for parking in their garage. This isn't a downtown hotel. It's in the middle of nowhere. Why charge an additional $8 for parking when the room is over $400. Next year I will look for a different hotel closer to the campus, and cheaper.

Saving Grace: A Night of HopePosted Oct 21, 2013
We stayed after attending an annual gala called Saving Grace: A Night of Hope, to benefit the Preeclampsia Foundation. The gala was held at the Marriott Coralville, and it was a lovely evening. Guestrooms were nicely appointed. There were several other large groups in other ball rooms and the hotel was relatively busy. Very nice experience. I would stay again when in the area.

Nice hotel close to I 80.Posted Oct 20, 2013
Our experience was fabulous. Two suggestions. The room needs a mirror out in the bedroom area so people can put makeup on and do their hair while others are using bathroom. Also need a bigger coffee maker in room or else complimentary coffee for guests.

Long line breakfast, pay for parkingPosted Sep 21, 2013
Ridiculous wait of 30 minutes to eat breakfast, read fine line about how many breakfasts are included, and you'll be charged for parking also.

Pros: location. nice, newer hotel
Close to Univ. of Iowa sports venues, easy access to highway, shopping, downtown. Friendly, helpful staff at front desk. Parking fee, internet fee and no breakfast add up.

Great place to stay for Iowa games; shuttle to the stadium and growing food and shopping within walking distance. The hotel does need some updating/upkeep, and our room was a little dusty upon checkin.
