Pros: location
Cons: If stayed at the hotel closes to the interstate, traffic might be a little loud.
Very nice hotel close to interstate. Had a living room & kitchen with a separate bedroom/bathroom. Kitchen had full size refrigerator, cooktop and plenty of cupboards/counter space. Also had a counter/desk. Bedroom was nice. Breakfast was included and had a nice selection of hot and cold foods. Room was neat and clean.

Nice hotel - thoughtful staff!

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The staff was some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with while traveling. They were very accommodating. Any thing we asked for they took care.
Location: We were there to visit family so we really didn't check out anything close by.
I book five rooms for my family for an overnight stay. The hotel was filled and yet the staff took time to help us with any and all of our requests. I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of space.

Nice rooms with good pricing and amenities.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The included breakfast and dinners. Free beer and wine during the week! The room was nice. The staff was beyond friendly and generous.
Cons: Air conditioning did not keep up. It was a tad hot and muggy. The bathroom needs updating. A safe in the room would be nice.
Location: It's Cedar Rapids Iowa people. There was a bike trail behind the hotel, but I can't say much for the things to do there. Perhaps the city market?
We stayed over Independence day weekend. Our room was very spacious with a full kitchen including full size fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, etc. I was blown away that we ended up with this room for the rate I paid. It had a separate bedroom which included 2 queen size beds and a decent flat screen tv. The living room area had a sleeper couch which also folded out into a queen size bed. This also included a decent flat screen TV. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom and the cooling systems were the only things even remotely lacking. The tub area was separated from the toilet and sink area by a door but there was not enough room in the tub area to lay out your cloths to put on. Of course this is nit picking and not a big deal. The cooling systems in both the living area and the bedroom area just did not seem to keep up with the temperature setting. They had "eco" thermostats installed which I suspect cycle the compressors off for energy saving. It wasn't unbearable, but it just never seemed to actually cool off in the room no matter how low you set the thermostats. I did not make a point to complain to the hotel staff so perhaps they just needed service. I only mentioned it to them when I checked out. Overall this was a great room and I would recommend it to anyone. I will certainly stay there again on my next visit to Cedar Rapids.

4th of July Weekend

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Pro: Size of rooms, breakfast, lobby, and looked like nice pool. (did not use)
Cons: Little short on staff, but assume because of the holiday weekend.
Location: Very well located with restaurants, malls, etc. close, plus just a couple miles to downtown.
As a traveling salesman for 33-yrs before retirement, I found this motel was very good value, especially considering the size of the 2-room suite and the fabulous included breakfast. The room had everything needed - two TV's, frig, microwave, wi-fi, etc. And, the breakfast was well stocked from eggs to sausage to waffles to juices. Was very pleased.

Room was not available when I arrived.

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was ok
Cons: Service and communication among staff need to be approved. Someone with a prepaid reservation should not experience what I did.
I was traveling on business and arrived at the hotel30 minutes before I was meeting others for dinner followed by a company event. Even though the clerk found my reervation from Expedia which had arrived several days before, the hotel was oversold and they had no room available. The clerk guaranteed me that he would have a room for me after my business meetings. When I returned several hours later, I was given a room, but not the one I had reserved. It was the last room available and it was a handicap-accessible room with a queen bed. My reservation was for a king bed.

Very comfortable

Posted May 4, 2014
Very comfortable, stayed 4 days. Large room with easy chair, couch, combo desk & table, kitchenette. Great breakfast. Convenient to major roads. The only thing I can complain about was one day when housekeeping didn't neaten up the room as well as I expected.

Used to be a nice place to stay

Posted Apr 11, 2014
I had stayed at this htoel several years earlier when it was a Hawethorn Suites. Upon checkin i was treted very nicely and told that there would be a dinner reception served. I went to my room which had a dead moth on the table, the surfaces of the tables and kitchenette counter were wiped down with a dirty rag and then dried to a filmy look. The dinner reception was empty potato shells and fixing whcih looked severl days past their prime. The following morning after taking a shower I dsicovered there were only hand towels.
