“A fabulous place to stay!”

On a recent cross country road trip we had the opportunity to stay at numerous hotels. We happened upon the Coralville Days Inn because it was close to the home of some dear friends who live in the area. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and our room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was wonderful and neither of us woke with our usual hotel mattress backache--a major notch in the plus column! The bed also had extra pillows on it as a standard thing so we didn't have to request an extra two pillows, and the sheets and blankets were clean and surprisingly soft. The bathroom was similarly spotless and comfortable. In the morning we expected the usual blase continental breakfast, but this Days Inn outdid itself with an expanded breakfast and a great assortment of cereals, pastries, bagels, toast, fruits and juices, hot and cold beverages and hard boiled eggs. The rate was very reasonable too, which made us even happier. We will DEFINITELY be back again!

I was initially concerned about booking the lowest priced motel room for a recent overnight stay near Univ of Iowa but since I was only going to be sleeping for the night and leaving early in the next morning so I thought that I would take my chances. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and more than comfortable room that fully met my needs. The front desk was friendly & respectful and I will definitely return there again.

The Days Inn in Iowa City/Coralville is probably the nicest Days Inn I've ever stayed in. The desk clerk who checked me in was extremely polite and helpful (even though he had to work on Christmas Day!) and a different one checked me out the next day, and he was just as polite and friendly. The hotel is in a good location, just a few minutes from the highway and a few minutes from Coral Ridge Mall. There are several good restaurants in walking distance of the hotel and some other stores on the way to the mall as well. One thing my mom and I really liked was that our room had a microwave and little refrigerator. We used both of them while we were there. Our room was pretty basic but comfortable, the shower was great, and it was nice and quiet. The free continental breakfast was good too. For the price we paid, we were very impressed, and will be staying there again.

This is a comfortable place very near campus. The lower level was nicely redone after flooding and offers a continental breakfast. Room was clean, big, secure, and quiet on the back side of the hotel.

“Served its principle”

The room served its principle as a place to sleep. I was disappointed that there was not fridge and/or microwave in the room for the price. The breakfast was okay if you just interested in coffee, cereal and muffins.

“Good value for the money”

Upon our arrival we were skeptical. No landscaping etc. We did not need a pool, sauna, or any extra amenities. Sleeping purposes only. The location was convenient to the mall and the hospital. We had an older room, but it was well maintained for the age of the motel. No problems with noise. If you are looking for inexpensive, no frills, this will meet your needs.

The rooms are a little bit smaller than average, but very clean. Hotel is within several hundred feet of a Mexican restaurant, a sports bar, a coffee shop, a Walgreens and a Hardees. Lots in the area.
