“Not Impressed”

The pool was closed. The morning receptionist was rude to my child. We were however impressed with the cleanliness of our room, even left a tip. I will NOT return.

“Don't bother.”

When checking into the hotel the clerk gave me misguided directions so i walked up stairs to walk the length of the hotel to walk downstairs to walk back the same way I came. As soon as I opened my door the smell was of musty old air. The bathroom door had been damaged at some point and was just an eyesore. I reserved the room for myself, my wife and 2 children; there were to bath towels in the room. Apparantly, we needed to share. When we went swimming there were no towels in the pool area, the clerk brought some after my wife asked. I understand that the price of the hotel was cheap but EconoLodge will not be getting any business from myself or my friends. The free breakfast was disappointing. The donuts were like the Hostess donnettes, there was not a variety of cereal. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Our room was not what we expected.  Let me count the ways...there was a hole (about 2 1/2") in the bathroom door; there was obvious water damage to the ceiling in the bathroom, most likely from a leak in the bathroom above us; the paint in the bath tub was peeling; the toilet tank top was broken at each end, exposing a sharp edge immediately above the flush handle and there was dried bodily fluid on the bottom sheet of the bed. We advised the people at the front desk who apologized that the bathroom door had not be replaced yet, but it's on his list to do.  I talked to the night front desk about the sheet, and he graciously gave me a different set of sheets.
