Would stay here againPosted Nov 19, 2013
My request for an early check-in was granted and when I mentioned that I was a Starwoods preferred guest, my room was upgraded. The service was excellent with every request receiving prompt attention. The hotel is new, clean, well-appointed and close to Iowa City's pedestrian mall. I would definitely stay here again.

Close to everything downtown.Posted Oct 28, 2013
Cons: It's a little noisy with all of the concrete flooring
Location: Great grocery store lobby level. Plenty of nightlife within 2 blocks . Shuttles or walk to Kininck.

A Gem in Iowa CityPosted Oct 4, 2013
I always enjoy my stay at the hotelVetro in Iowa City. The convenient location, modern rooms and friendly staff make it a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Extra bonus with the full kitchenette and laundry facilities. Only one recommendation for future visits...make sure you get a room on the opposite side of the mall. I stayed there during the U of I football season and the partying down in the mall can get a bit loud. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Iowa City area.

The Best Hotel in IowaPosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: Unique design and comfort.
Location: Hotel Vetro is on the downtown mall. There are excellent restaurants nearby, and, of course, the University of Iowa.
This unique hotel will always stand out in my memory. Whenever I visit Iowa City, I try to book this hotel.

Great Location and That is AllPosted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Terrible management. Employees are rude and not at all informative. Manager was not available for two days! Needs better customer service.
Greeted by terrible service. Asked about our luggage after we had to lug it in ourselves. Ikea furniture and a bathroom right off the beds without a proper door. No valet parking. You have to park yourself and they don't tell you how to get your car out of the lot. Biggest issue is the noise. Tenants upstairs made noise until 3 a.m. Location is great but that's it!

Wish checkout time was later. Very nice place.Posted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stay here quite often actually and this is the first time I decided to write something. All the times I've stayed here I never really got to enjoy the room (not in a bad way.) I'm always out doing something and by the time I get back I don't have enough time to actually enjoy the nice, clean, comfortable room. Paying 170 a night and only enjoying a few hrs of sleep sucks! So if you're planning on spending a lot of time in your room an wanting a nice place choose this place! If not, I suggest staying at a less costly place. Unless you don't mind spending the dough. Also, I tend to stay there during the dead season, so the hotel and surrounding neighbors are quiet. Never stayed there during sporting events or other big events going on.

WowPosted Jul 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Having been to Iowa City numerous times to visit the University of Iowa this was our first stay at hotelVetro but will not be our last. From the oversized room with a kitchen, large bathroom with separate tub and shower to the sitting area it was outstanding. You will not be disappointed.

Need More InformationPosted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very modern. However, the amount of information available in the room was limited. No channel guides for the TV, no city information, no check-in/check-out information. The hot and cold taps weren't even labeled. I had to call the front desk for routine info multiple times. They should update the binders in the room to contain these important pieces of data. Also, the air conditioner in the room was pretty loud. Otherwise, the food at Share Wine Bistro was great and the view was good and the beds were super comfortable. I'd stay here again.
