“A good value”

This hotel is off the main drag, so it is nice and quiet. The room was a little dirty around the edges, but nothing too bad. Nothing fancy, just the basic amenities. The free breakfast was also quite adequate. I would stay there again mainly because of the good price.

“Perfect for our needs”

We were attending a concert in Iowa City and wanted an inexpensive hotel with a short commute to the concert location. The hotel was perfect for our needs and the price was perfect for our wallets. One of the housekeepers knocked on our door at 8a.m. and told us we had to check out. I called the front desk and was told that was a mistake and they apologized profusely for the early wake-up. One other unfortunate aspect of our stay was the breakfast. There were no plates, no butter, and limited other options.

“Comfort and Amenities at a Value Price!”

For an older hotel, the inviting and decorative lobby made a good first impression, right along with the friendly desk clerk and bubbling hot Jacuzzi. Having all the amenities of cable TV, cell reception and internet access overshadowed the dated floor tile and dripping tub faucet in the bathroom. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable and the coffee plentiful. Complimentary breakfast had a good "carb" variety to start our day. Convenient to I-80 with a nice restaurant nearby. This facility definitely met my expectations, and in my opinion, a good return for the money.

the price is right and the staff was great. I do house keeping for a living and told the the problems so they could address them. If they don't know about problems they don't get fixed

Older property, but well-maintained. Listing is a bit ambigupus about a fitness center: there isn't one on premises--the North Dodge Athletic Club is nearby.

It looks a little rough on the out side but the inside of the hotel is very nice, so don't judge a book by its cover on this one. Very nice staff also, good breakfast.

other than the road construction, the travel lodge was a good location. it was easy to get downtown or to the U of Iowa. the eatery next door was awesome.
