I had a great stay. Staff is friendly & I love their breakfast. However, the beds are busted. I was moved to a different room twice & both rooms had broken beds that rock back & forth. If you lay on the edge of the bed you may end up on the floor. Fridge & microwave weren’t cleaned. Otherwise, I liked staying there for the most part. The place was quiet & felt safe. I would stay there again, just wish they would fix their beds and clean the rooms better.

Located on a well-traveled street with close access to shopping and restaurants. Rooms were somewhat dated (wallpaper peeling off of wall). Waffle iron in cafeteria didn't cook properly. Decent selection of breakfast items.

Beds were comfortable, pillows however could use upgrading. The website lists buffet breakfast, however that was misleading as it was a continental breakfast with bagels, cereal, yogurt or waffles. There is no elevator which created issues for my elderly mother. However was sufficient for a short weekend stay.

I liked the breakfast options in the am. I liked that the place felt clean and safe. I know they allowed pets but you never knew because they were quiet and respectful.

Good cheap option clise to my event. Service was good but not great. Wish the free breakfast had gone later than 9pm. Need to work on some serious mantainence issues.

The first room we were assigned smelled a little like covered up vomit. The floor in the bathroom had not been cleaned, there was a towel still behind the door and the insides of the drawers were dirty. We requested to switch rooms, the second room had a very damp, musty smell. The curved shower curtain rod was separating from the wall, so the curtain just hung in the middle. We requested to switch again. Thanks fully the third room did not smell, but the shower curtain rod was also disconnected from the wall. Rather than request a 4th room, we requested a refund for the remainder of or stay and switched hotels. The GM and staff were nice and helpful in making this happen.

Just gross and run-down. Water damage on furniture. Smokey smell in a supposed non-smoking room. Trash in the room that my dog and child found. Pubic hair on the toilet seat. Bathroom light flickered on like it was in a horror movie (lots of flickering on/off before finally staying on). Lighting overall was really dim. TV sucked and the remote didn’t work consistently. A/C unit looked dirty and possibly moldy. I spent as little time here as humanly possible, and skipped even looking at the provided breakfast since I could clearly see what their cleaning standards were.

I truly could NOT believe this place. I had spent a week at the one in Creston and it was great. Check in was a nightmare. The breakfast was terrible. I checked to see if you had sugar-free syrup, and came away with sticking hands. You did NOT have sugar free. I wondered how someone that had to eat gluten-free survived here. I will NOT be back and I will share with everyone.

Suppose to be a smoke free room , but the room smelled like a smoker had smoked in the room .( if you’re a non smoker you know instantly) The room was not cleaned very well ,with absolutely no detail cleaning at all. Staff was friendly and kind.

Hotel is very clean. Our tv wouldn’t work but they came up right away to help us and got it working. Bring your own pillows though because theirs suck!

Front door wasn’t automatic, which made it a little difficult with luggage. Also, a few things were out of order at breakfast, but other than problems with my reservation/booking, I have no further complaints about the hotel. I was appreciative for the front desk staff, who was trying everything he could to help get me into a room.

Was in cedar rapids Iowa hanging out with some friends for the weekend. booked this hotel room on the fly. The place could definitely need some deep cleaning the carpets were dull looking and dirty, handrail walking up to the second floor is broke .( No elevator) corners in the bathroom need some love. the power had previously went out a couple days prior,I was in room 203 the phone didn't work nor would the TV come on got moved to room 205, phone worked but it only get FX channel so apparently the satellite or cable was not reset after the storm. The night clerk was very nice, she moved me to a new room with no problem, the bed was comfortable , the sheets were clean the pillows are okay, the hotel is very quiet, off a main drag the Iowa 100 if you head East you'll find plenty of food and shopping. If you head north of the hotel there is a kwickTrip gas station with snacks and good coffee. Hotel has a continental breakfast but I didn't do that. For the overall price I paid for the room for two nights I have no true major complaints. Really need some upgrades.

I stayed here because of the 7.4 rating. Perhaps I just got a bad room, but it was musty, The carpet was sticky (ewe!), wallpaper was just beginning to peel, but severely wrinkled in other areas. The ceiling had a water stain that had been sort of painted over, but was still a bit bubbled. And with a big chunk of the room taken out for the jacent housekeeping room, it was TINY. The bedspread had a stain that looked like it had been washed but wouldn’t come out… I wish the app would let me upload pictures! For over $100/night, I expected something a little nicer and better maintained. It would not take a lot to fix these things.

Horrible hotel experience, charged me $128 for the room and $40 for my dogs. I go to my room, there’s trash everywhere, probably because the trash cans were full, beds were soiled, fridge had open food in it, all towels were gross and there was trash all over the sink. I went down stairs to return my key and couldn’t get a refund. David the desk clerk was very nice and assured me he was sorry, but it still cost me $129 to not stay…I had driven 500 miles that day after having food poisoning the night before and needed a place to sleep before the last day of a week long drive across country…

The room I was assigned had no air conditioning. I called the front desk and was told that there was nothing that could be done, I was told no other room was available until the next day. I asked if a credit would be given since I could not sleep in 100 degree room, and was told that there’s nothing that they can do for me! I had to go to my family’s house to get some sleep, so I didn’t even sleep in the hotel on Friday, July 21st. I was assigned a different room on the 2nd night, but never received anything for my troubles. I find it very unacceptable and will not be staying at this hotel anymore. In addition to my room problems, the gym in the hotel was not open for customer use!

BEWARE!! THIS IS NOT a 7.2/10 hotel!
Arrived at 11:00pm after 6 hours of driving. Room reeked of smoke. Pizza left in fridge. Poop smear on toilet seat. Asked to move to another room (thinking room got missed for cleaning, but then again that was a naive assumption bc the beds were made). Front desk gal (she was nice) said hmm this is a smoke free hotel…she just finished a hit/vaping! Moved rooms. Garbage behind headboard and room had a musty smell. At this point my 15 year old son said he was going to sleep in the car. We left this property and drove around the area for an hour to find another stay. Ended up having to fork over $200+ for that night and a lot of reconfiguration to find a hotel for the next two nights. We were in town for baseball tournament. I have always relied on the hotels.com reviews/stars. THIS IS NOT a 7.2/10 STAY. I have learned my lesson not to rely on that number…instead I will from now on go into the actual reviews and read them. As another reviewer stated, this is just a step above renting by the hour.

This was just above a rent by the hour motel. There were stains on the carpet and bedding, the wallpaper was yellowed and peeling off the walls. The guy that checked us in was borderline rude, acting like we were inconveniencing him at best. The furniture in the lobby was nice, but looked like it came from someone's first apartment. I paid way too much to stay here.

We booked two rooms after having a house fire. One of rooms the fridge didn’t work and we didn’t notice until our last day. Our bathroom sink was continuously being clogged and took hours to drain.

Upon entering room, the toilet still had urine and a cigarette butt floating in it. The room reeked of smoke. The refrigerator was full of black mold and the room was full of flies. The tub didn't drain and was full of water. All of the table and counter tops were sticky. The linens were full of stains.
