“Home away from home, only better!”
I booked this hotel online the night before, as it would be about halfway on a 930 mile drive home from Louisville. We arrived at dusk. When we arrived, the hotel's computer was down, and the desk clerk was on the phone trying to solve the problem. She was very nice about everything and handled the situation well: running a copy of our credit cards and issuing room keys, then calling guests later in the evening to sign the paperwork after the computer problem got solved. Our room was an absolute oasis -- spacious, well-appointed, nice flat-screen TV, great kitchen and bathroom. We dropped off our luggage and went to a nearby grocery store for dinner fixings. We came back and watched our favorite college basketball game while cooking chicken breasts with mushrooms and cheese and having a glass of wine. There was even a recliner and great hi-speed internet, so I could sit and catch up on e-mail. The king-size bed was super comfortable, and the digital temp control was spot on. We got a superb night's sleep, and were up and on the road first thing in the morning. The hotel was just a minute or two off the Interstate, but in a kind of secluded, newer area that was very quiet. Still, we had fuel and fast food, restaurants and shopping, easily accessible and nearby. We often drive from South Dakota to South Bend, Indiana, for Notre Dame football games, and are thinking this would be a great place to stop along the way. I can't say enough about the WONDERFUL hotel staff!
