“A great stay!”

We were pleasantly surprised at the accommadations. The room had more than expected in creature comforts at the price. A very good economy stay.

“Sufficient space”

We were pleasantly surprised to see the size of the bathroom and space of the room. We especially enjoyed the comfortable chairs that could be easily rolled to more easily watch TV. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet.

“First Impressions”

The front door was shabby - looked as though it had not had care for a very long time. The rest of the hotel was fine, rooms clean and quiet. Breakfast adequate. Staff helpful.

“Great location to explore the Amana Colonies”

We were very satisfied with our experience at this hotel. the mattress was a lot harder than we were have at our home, but we were able to get satisfactory sleep. The front staff upon arrival was very helpful and changed our room from the second floor to the first floor because of a health issue that I have. We could have made do with the second floor, but our stay was better because of the front staff's extra effort.

“Disappointing stay”

Disappointed that this hotel did not have an elevator to the second floor. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs, not easy when you are over 60 years of age. Also, the complementary breakfast was ok, but not much to choose from, only 1 kind of fruit, 2 sugary cereals, watered down juices. Also no refridgerator in room.

“Don't book online if you have a pet”

They have a limited number of pet rooms. We arrived late and all of the pet rooms were taken. We had to stay in a smoking room, even though I had reserved a non-smoking room. We were told that we were lucky that they allowed pets at all because most hotels/motels don't. Doesn't sound "pet friendly" to me. The smell of smoke in the room made it hard to breath and all of our clothes smelled like smoke for days. The pillows were very hard and flat (and smelled of smoke). The breakfast was cold cereal and toaster waffles. I doubt we'll stay here again.

“Would not recommend this hotel,”

The desk people at check in and check out stayed in the back room, at check out I wanted and finally just left the key on the desk. They ran out of food at breakfast and the selection was very limited. The room and hallways etc. were not very clean.
