"Great experience for nature lovers."
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. The hotel has lots of natural areas and therefore there are many insects and wildlife. Do expect bugs in your room once night falls. The hotel staff provide repellent and netting for the bed. It's a quiet and romantic setting. Greatly encourage you to visit.

"It is not an HOTEL is a rental condo"
I was traveling suposing you have the basic hotel services, meals, bar, waiters, attndants. There is absolutely nothing but the nature, CelestĂșn is a beautiful place itself, full of nature and natural atractives enough for make a great place. But is not fair you think you are going to have the services of an hotel. The other thing that is not ok is that you have to pay the stay in CASH and you will not recieve an invoice or a recive. May be if you know all of this before going you will have the right expectative.

Pocket Guide: Celestun, Merida Beach Hotels

This beach town on the Gulf of Mexico is 90 minutes from Merida in the northwest corner of Yucatan. Celestun is home to the Celestun Biosphere Reserve, a salt water marsh west of town that provides a winter home to flocks of flamingos. Visit during Semana Santa when villagers float their patron saint out to sea surrounded by candles. Musical, carnivals, and dances are held regularly in the square.
