“Great Beach Hotel - Close to the Airport too!”

Great hotel! Beautiful location right on the beach, loveley clean rooms, and helpful staff. There was secure parking and a pretty good breakfast (be sure to take some of the bacon outside to the cute resident beach dogs...) Great beach for swimming. Really glad to have stayed there. To boot - the place was easily accessible to the airport.

“Deinately coming back”

Lovely place with the sea laterally 1 min walk.. the hotel has private beach with umbrellas and sun beds. Rooms are nice and clean. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not bad at all. So we will be back to stay there again.

“Very comfortable; nice relaxation at the end of a long day”

I found the Golden Star Hotel to be an excellent place for the end of a long day/trip. I did not arrive until late - but it was very comfortable. Right on the boardwalk along the Sea; variety of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. Not far from the airport (about 15 minutes even though it is only about 4 miles). Good choice!

“Great Views”

We recently stayed at the Golden Star hotel for four nights and really enjoyed the location, views and laid back atmosphere of the small coastal resort. Hotel rooms were nice and ours had a balcony so close to the beach you could almost touch it, with spectacular views of the bay. Hotel staff friendly and reasonable choice at breakfast.

“Good hotel in an excellent location”

The staff were very helpful and for the first few days when there were few guests staying we recieved a personal restaurant service with the offer a freshly cooked omelette or english breakfast but this wasn't possible after the hotel became busier when the additional menu items were laid out on the restaurant. The location was quiet and peaceful but right on the seafront which had no traffic along the prom. Getting to Thessaloniki was easy with a frequent bus service and simple fare structure (made easier by the ticket machines on the newer buses having instructions in English). The hotel staff told us where to get the bus and how much it would cost us. A most enjoyable break.

“Would recommend to anyone!”

Ratings speak for themselves! Lovely hotel in an excellent location close to airport but without the noise. A little way from city centre, but easily accessible by bus or taxi. Only thing that could be improved is the public/guest internet access service - PC very old and could do with upgrading, as could the wireless connection itself.

“Out of season a little gem”

Vey quiet as it was December, but the staff were very polite, chatty and helpful and I got great service for a very good price. Superb value, but will be a different story no doubt in high season.

“not what they say they are”

This hotel is not in Thessaloniki city at all. it is in a town on the beach about a half hour outside of the center of town. Dont be fooled by the "thessaloniki" address. the "shopping district" they are mentioning is the shopping center close to the airport, not the shopping district in town. Also definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. More like 3 star. The hotel would have been fine if they advertised it as a 3 star beach hotel a half hour outside of town. Then, if that is what you are expecting, you will be satisfied enough.
