"Great hotel close to the waterfront"
The owners of this hotel work hard to give personal attention to every guest. The breakfast is fantastic -- they have a menu that includes everything you would find at a restaurant and you can order anything that you would like. Ask them any question and they will give you an answer or find out if they do not know. The rooms were very nice, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay very much.

"Central "70's" hotel in a very convenient position"
We arrived at the Train Station(by bus) and were delighted to find that the Vergina was almost opposite. The Staff are very welcoming .The room was pleasant and nicely furnished. There was a slight plumbing problem which developed the next day. There was one spare room which they offered us which we moved to and remained for the next 6 days. The staff keep the hotel very clean and deal promptly with requests! We chose the hotel mainly because of the good reviews on the breakfast. It was excellent with good variety ! There is a pleasant bar and terrace We were able to walk to many different parts of the City and fortunately had been given some helpful hints and pamphlets by the Tourist Office at the Airport.(Just as well as we later discovered that the Booth in the City was not operating)The most useful one was about the number "50" (Culture Route)bus which you can catch from any of the 15 stops and operates hourly. It starts from the "White Tower"in the Bay and only costs 2euros..The guide describes and points out all the historical monuments on the route. We were able to visit most of them over the remainder of our stay . We also did our own individual day trip to Litohoro ,and explored the village which was at the foot of Mount Olympus. The Canyon at the foothills of the mountain is beautiful and easily accesible for all ages! Another delightful trip was by train to Edessa, a hilltop town on the Macedonion border.there is a lovely waterfall and various other sites to see!

"Makrygialos!"
Fantastic! I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Diaz. The Beautiful rolling countryside and coastline reminicent of North Yorkshire on a rare hot day! I made new friends! :) However, the village is somewhat isolated unless you have access to a car. The slow pace may well suit some. Unfortunately, the local railway servicing the smaller villages was abandoned some 15 years ago, in favour of the high-speed intercity railway, which is limited to servicing major towns and cites only. The bus service cannot replace the value of rail travel. With parallel to the disasterous mistake the British government made in the 1960's. (See: " The Dr. Beeching Report".) This lack of funding for local transport can only cripple the economy. The now defunct village station of Mykrygialos stands proudly as a recent relic of a bygone age. Though once you find transport, you will unlock a tremendous trip from the coast to Mount Olympus and beyond.

"great place for short stay"
This is a perfect place to spend a weekend or couple day stay in the town. Located on the most important street and walking distance from all attractions, this hotel provides sufficient comfort. Breakfast is good and tasty, rooms are farely small and overcrowded but did not bother me. Staff is friendly and parking is available couple blocks away for 13 Euro per day with hotel discount. Parking is a big problem in Thessaloniki, thus just consider the expense on cost of spending time to search around. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Ancient history, walking and sea at your doorstep!"
If you wish to be surrounded by friendliness, comfort and luxury, then this is the hotel to stay in. We were made so welcome from the word go. The ambience is homely, quiet and totally relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of half board for 3 nights. Variety of food and wine are extensive and so tasty. Its position on a hill top, not too far from the main road, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and vineyard, is idyllic. Fantastic museums at Vergina and Pella display 'gobsmacking' artefacts! Lovely views abound. No time for sitting on the attractive beaches, just on the stunning hotel patio! Don't miss this experience!!
