“Good place”

“crowded city”

Very commercial area of town. Low rent district. Parking a big problem if not using their parking system. Compter for guest was down and they let me use one in the office to email.

“A mixed bag”

The hotel is clean and quiet with a helpful staff, but.... The hotel had only ethernet cables for the rooms - not wireless - and the fee was 15 Euros per 24 hours. At that, when I used it, it didn't work at all for several days (I wasn't charged). Also, several television stations weren't available and breakfast was 15 Euros per guest. There are less expensive hotels in Thessaloniki (e.g. the El Greco) with free wireless and breakfast and better access to buses. However, the Holiday Inn is a relatively well appointed place, room service was terrific, and if the cost of the extras isn't a problem, I don't think you'd be disappointed.
