“Superb in everyway”

The interior design is spectacular with lots of really interesting art. The facilities are excellent with a lovely pool and separate Spa. The staff were attentive and I couldnt fault it.

“Lovely hotel”

We went on a recent trip to Greece in July, 2010. We spent one night at The Met Hotel. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was helpful. No free wifi in the rooms but was available in the lobby. The parking was rather expensive but we found that to be the norm everywhere in Greece. You will be pleased with the view from the rooftop pool but we were disappointed that the pool closed at 7:00 pm. We were only able to enjoy the view and not a swim. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The selection was superb.

“Recomended”

Great hotel due to design, rooms, breakfast, doubled as an art gallery, and most importantly, the excellent staff attitude. Although slightly out of the city the free (and regular) hotel bus service makes the location irrelevent. Negative aspects: (1) 15 Euros a day to park the car (although fees were explained on website and on arrival); (2) hotel view. On balance I would definately return again and recomend it.

“Overnight stay for early flight.”

I realise this hotel is in a redevelopement area, but there is little developement going on. The neighbourhood was very unattractive;there are many derelict buildings covered in graffiti along the road/old docks.You could not have a pleasant stroll outside, it did not feel safe, the pavements were uneven and overgrown with shrubs and old rail tracks(watch out when you drive over them) to what was the industrial area opposite the hotel (so no decent view). I doubt there will be much improvement, apart from the numerous garages, due to the current economic situation, which is a shame. You NEED a car/taxi to take you to the better areas for tavernas/bars/shopping. The car park is €15 per day. The hotel itself is acceptable, although the indoor pool was small; really would be cramped if more than 5 people tried to swim in it,a small jacquzzi next to this with 4 daybeds,The rooftop pool was of a similar size. I booked a dble room, but was given a twn (not too much of an issue). The rain shower was very pleasant, there was plenty of storage space, a decent tv, desk area, good air con, spotless. The twin rm with extra bed was a little cramped, but again clean. This room had a large bath & hand held shower. Both rooms had a spacious balcony. I did not have the overpriced b/fast @ €23-27 p/person, nor the expensive room service. Shame our stay was marred by the noisy occupants opposite that kept their doors open & let their kids run about, whilst shouting on their mobiles :-(
