Pros: Close to various points of interest.
Cons: New beds.
Location: Double bed needed to be replaced. There was a large hole in the center which made it very difficult for 2 people to sleep together.
This hotel is close to Yaquina Bay State Park, the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The restaurant overlooked the Pacific Ocean and served excellent food and the beach is within walking distance. We would have enjoyed our stay more if the bed had been comfortable. Unfortunately, the mattress had a large sag in the middle and should have been replaced.

Next to the beach

The hotel and room were quite comfortable. The location is perfect. The only issue was that the outlet that the refrigerator/microwave was plugged in to didn't work. Notified the staff and moved the fridge to a functioning outlet so no problemo.

Partial ocean view not so much excitement in it

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Not my favorite place, and booking with third party company not satisfied at all. Especially since this was my first time using website to book for a very special event( wedding anniversary) they got me a partial view room which basically it's just a small window that has a narrow view to the ocean.

Not a good stay.

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Close to the Ocean
Cons: Staff, rooms, food.
Location: The beach and ocean.
We stayed after finding a deal on Expedia. From the start it was not good, the front desk was rude and not helpful. We were traveling with our son that has leukemia and asked for a quiet room. I was told that none were available even though the people next to us were offered a higher room for quiet. The price I was charged was different then what I was quoted, my wife list a bracelet and we were told that they would call us even if they didn't find it. We never received a call and my wife was told that there was no need to keep contacting them. I am a Gold crown member and have stayed in Best Westerns all over with great experiences. I will never stay here again and tell everyone I know to go elsewhere.

Short walk to beach! Very friendly to dogs!

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The Beds, The Beach, The Location, The 2 Restaurants were handy, and the elevator lobby views were great!!
Cons: Pool needs to be at least 85 degrees and the hot tube not hotter then 101. The room smell was a little irratating, but not overwhelming.
Location: We went to the Oregon Coast Aquiram, OSU Science Exhibit and the Old Bay Front. Lots to do in Newport!
I got 2 Queen beds non ocean view in July with a pet charge for $180/Night. The price seemed about average for what we got in return. It is Peak Season. Great lobby views of the beach at each floor. Has 2 restaurants inside the hotel. The room was a nice size with a balcony. The beds were very comfortable and of nice quality. The room did have a musty smell that got better with the balcony slider open. The pool was too cold and the hot tube waas too warm, but both were clean and nicely appointed. If you go to the beach and head North towards that lighthouse their are some very nice tide pools. Can walk to Wal-mart for those little things that you forgot to bring. If traveling from the North into Newport from Lincoln City, you don't have to travel through town to reach the hotel. It is located just before Newport.

Nice Holiday

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Great views
Location: Beach just down the hill.
The staff were kind and friendly. The room was recently remodeled and clean. The room was a bit small and the beds were softer than I like. We had a room on one of the floors that allow dogs. The outbursts of barking were annoying at night or early in the morning.
