A Mom and Pop kinda place with a view...

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: The view, the balcony, the fireplace.
Cons: Create a place of peace at your front desk, not the seeming clutter of disorganization...install security locks on your doors
Location: Many things to do near by and within a short drive, beach accessible with a short stroll.
Check in was a little slow, only because it is a little like stepping into rhythm of the Oregon Coast and disengaging from wherever you strolled in from...more of a mom and pop kind of feel with a cluttered controlled chaos behind the front desk, but courteous and friendly front desk all the same... just be patient... So if "mom and pop," isn't the kind of low key place you are conformable with, then probably not the place for you. Room was decent, nothing fancy, nothing disgusting, with a patio overhanging a drop off overlooking the few homes next to the shore. An great view...a fireplace.. a place to sleep and the spirit of love. That is all this soul needs. But if you are looking for a pool, a hot tub, room service, a room of perfection and no wear and tear from years of travelers, then move on to one of the higher end establishments. What's missing is the extra security latch on the door, the cleaners walked right into the room 20 minutes before check out with the do not disturb sign on the door. You know the one... the sign THEY provide to you..that conveniently hangs over the door. The universal... "STAY THE F- OUT OF MY ROOM." Nope.. just came right in. And since they look like any Jo Schmoe's off the street without uniforms etc.. not a comfortable situation to say the least... A polite mention to the front desk on check out resulted in a... "Oh, that's the cleaners.." when I said other guests had arrived early and barged in....Umm..... no....

If you are not looking for a five star hotel, yet don't want to feel like you are sluming it either, this is the hotel. We had a great view, decent room and the staff was friendly.

Great place with a spectacular view!

This is a great option with easy beach access, nice clean rooms, and a spectacular view. Fireplace in the room was such a perfect touch, and the balcony was nice to have too.

Did not get what we thought we ordered.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
We booked a jacuzzi suite with a view, or so we thought. When we arrived we were told by the manager that we had a "whirlpool" only. It was not a spa but a bathtub in the bathroom with jets. The manager blamed Expedia, but the hotels website only showed the jacuzzi and no mention of "whirlpool". He told us to take it up with Expedia. We made the best of it. We felt taken advantaged of by somebody!

Dear Guest, The unit you booked was "Partial View One King with Whirlpool"; in the description on the Expedia website, it states: "Private bathroom with a jetted bathtub". We regret that you thought you had reserved a different room type. We hope this clarifies any misunderstanding. Regards, Management
