Newport Stay

Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: The elevator is a joke. We used it only once and did the three flights of stairs the rest of the time. Very slow elevator.
Location: Walking distance to shopping and resturants.
The room was comfortable and clean. The overall building was showint it's age. Wonderful view and pretty easy beach access. The homemade cookies were very nice. The breakfast was pedestrian.

Great beachfront hotel

Pros: right on the beach with balcony overlooking
Great location, nice pool and deck. It was great that the hotel would take our dog, and they had DVDs to rent.

Loved it! Rooms were well kept and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Only downfall is; I wish they had direct beach access.

Great hotel right on the beach. This room was clean and had everything that we could ever need in it. Loved the smoked salmon chowder at 5 and fresh baked cookies at 8. It was such a nice stay that we stayed and extra night. We hardly left the room for 4 days!

Ocean view
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Ocean view, fireplace, food.
Cons: Pillows
Location: Pretty easy to find, with large signs on the 101 directing you to Elizabeth street and the inn. Off street, covered parking.
Ocean view was perfect and and the fireplace was quite nice. King sized bed was comfortable, and came with lots of feather pillows, though they were a bit worn out and went flat too easily, leaving something (namely, a nice firm pillow) to be desired. Good water pressure in the shower. Other furnishings were nice, too. They provide lots of little extras, like coffee, tea, and cocoa around the clock in the lobby, and free (and delicious) salmon chowder and fresh cookies in the evening. Of course the complementary breakfast was good too, including biscuits and gravy and waffles, although I thought the breakfast room set up was a little awkward and noisy, especially when busy, and we chose to take our food back up to our room to eat. Staff was attentive and polite, ready with a greeting even when just walking past you in the hallways. Overall, I loved it there (did I mention the ocean view?) and would definitely stay there again on my next trip to the coast!

We have stayed here many times and the Elizabeth Street Inn is very comfortable, well cared for, has a wonderful staff and some of the most spectacular views of the prestine Oregon coast ! We call the Inn "our" place and willo stay here whenever we can !
