Pleasant B&B on the bayPosted Jan 31, 2015
Our room was clean and comfortable. Nice view of the bay. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, as well as meals we purchased in the restaurant downstairs. We would have liked in-room coffee, but it was usually available at the office. Complementary sherry was a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful secluded location on a quiet bay.Posted Nov 30, 2014
Cons: Rooms could use a deep cleaning. Baseboards especially.
Location: Right off hwy 101 and all the little shops to spend your money. The coast to shell hunt or just walk along. Many State parks locally and light house
Was there for Thanksgiving. The room was beautiful, staff exceptional, and the meals were excellent. I can not imagine staying anywhere else. We will always return to this beautiful peaceful location.

Not badPosted Nov 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was fine, more like a B & B which Im not inclined to stay at. I liked the location and it was very quiet but close to town.

Harbor view, walk to whale watchingPosted Oct 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
We spent one night in a comfortable lower level room. The small bathroom with a shower/tub was clean. The room has a sliding glass door that opens to a patio with chairs and grass overlooking the harbor and bridge. Very dog-friendly (although we were not traveling with a dog). There is a nice nature park down the steps and to the left. Fishing boats and whale watching boats are docked in the harbor. We walked into town (uphill and stairs, about 7 minutes) before sunset and saw a pod of whales feeding and spouting right off shore from the seawall. We watched the beautiful sunset, then walked along the seawall sidewalk to Tidal Raves restaurant. Unfortunately, the wait for a table was an hour and a half, so we tried the Sea Hag. It was jammed and crammed with a 30 minute wait. So, we walked back to the Harbor Lights Inn and had a very nice meal in the dining room. No crowds, friendly waiter and delicious food. Next time we stay, we will book an upstairs room just because there are small private balconies and probably more light. The breakfast, which is complimentary, was very good.

smokePosted Sep 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
We requested a non-smoking room they put us on the first floor which must have been the rooms that had smokers in it previously as you head downstairs you can smell the smoke and I woke up all congested the next day. upstairs seemed to be fine. it is a pretty b&b . just don't get the 100 rooms unless ur a smoker.

Should be on an episode of Hotel HellPosted Sep 23, 2014
Cons: The owners should sell. You can tell they are overwhelmed and exhausted. Also, they have a cat & it smelled like dog/cat when you walk in.
From the minute we walked in, we felt unwanted. We arrived 2 hours before official check-in time and were abruptly told they don't allow that. She (co-owner/wife), didn't offer us a coffee/drink in sitting area which looks over the harbor, nothing! Just stared at us with a stone cold face, as if to say LEAVE, so we did. I've never been treated this way, and we travel a lot. When we did check in with (co-owner/Husband), which wasn't warm and friendly either. He seemed annoyed & in a hurry to get this over with. He said Sundays the restaurant is closed because he needs a day off from cooking. I asked about breakfast, which is included and he said, well yes, breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30, so if you want to eat make sure you don't sleep in. We had a choice of bacon/cheese omelet or ham/cheese omelet. It was super dry and came with bread that you had to toast yourself. Oh and it came with a piece of super dry watermelon and super dry piece of orange. As I ate mine, I found a blonde hair in omelet, I have red hair, so couldn't have been mine? GROSS My boyfriend needed to do some business about 10 mins away and asked front desk lady (not either owner), if we could check out about 11:30 to 12, as I didn't want to wait in the car for him. She said, sure, just try and be out no later than 12. At 11:29 someone was trying to unlock the door to my room, so I opened. It was the owner/wife. She said, oh I thought you were gone, made a big sigh and dropped her cleaning bucket on floor

Great LocationPosted Sep 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
I really liked the location. The restaurant served excellent food and the complimentary breakfast was delicious ! My negative comments are pertaining to our room accommodations. There are some deferred maintenance areas that need to be addressed. 1. the screen on the patio door had several holes in it. 2. I think the window covering could be improved upon. 3. The lights over the bed would benefit from having individual switches for each side of the bed. 4. The overhead fan was noisy, so we could not use it @ night, while we were trying to sleep.
