Very BasicPosted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Hot water and a working ice machine!
Cons: Spa, amenities, vending machines, staff, parking.
Location: It is very nicely located within walking distance of the marina and the Rouge brewery.
This motel is very conveniently located, but not many benefits beyond that. The spa was under construction, the vending machines were either empty or not working, there were no roll away beds and the staff is not available after hours.

Not the cleanest. There were stains and the entire building was hot and smelled like body odor.

No Coffee pot !Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: It was a bed and shower fridge and micro
Cons: In room coffe pots
Location: Locatin was good for us
No coffee pots in rooms and the continental breakfast was from 8 am to 10 am very limited so if you are getting up early to go fishing take your own coffee pot and breakfast goods !

Okay, but won't go backPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Just about everything
Location: Newport is a great coastal town with the aquarium and bayfront to explore. Wonderful brewery and restaurants.
It was the hottest day of the year, yet there were no fans available in the rooms. Air conditioning did not exist. The room was very stuffy, even with the window open. It didn't cool down enough to sleep until after midnight. We came within minutes of packing up and going home. Fortunately the Oregon Coast fog came in the next day and it cooled down. The floor in the bathroom had not been swept, there was a long hair on the floor that did not belong to us! I should have paid attention to the red flags when I saw the VCR in the room! Who uses VCRs anymore? That's ok, it was difficult to see anything on the tiny TV.

Ok for one nightPosted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Desk manager
Cons: New carpet and clean the windows.
Location: Everything imaginable to do!
I didn't book enough ahead so didn't have choices. Really nice desk manager, which helped balance the less than glorious room. Summer rates make these "cheaper" hotels feel really over priced.

Disappointing stay at the coast.Posted Aug 18, 2014
Cons: Clean the rooms better, and make sure all of the equipment is working before people spend their money only to find out the place is a dirty wreck.
Location: The coast offers several attractions, restaurants, and beach fun.
I was very disappointed in the stay we had at the Inn at Yaquina Bay over the weekend of August 15th and 16th, 2014. This was our eight year anniversary and we booked a room only to find out when we got there that the hot tub and exercise room were not able to be used, the vending machines were out of order, and so we chose to upgrade to a Jacuzzi room only to find out that our fireplace insert was not in working order either. The bathroom had mold and cobwebs all over and the door to the bathroom was dirty as well as the Jacuzzi tub, and the counter by the sink had crumbs on it from someone's food. All of the windows were dirty, and the window tracks were full of dirt and dead bugs. I will not recommend this motel to others, and I will not stay here again, we were very disappointed!

Economy hotel doesn't quite cut itPosted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The price and centrality of the hotel.
Cons: The whole place needs a major cash infusion to upgrade and replace most features. And ditch the RV park.
Location: A stop at the nearby Crab shack right on the highway just south of the hotel is a must. Best fish and chips ever!
The staff were very pleasant and managed our request to change rooms after noisy neighbors kept us awake the first night. The room was big and clean enough but the towels were thin and scratchy and the sheets too small for the mattresses. Important detail to note: All rooms overlook an RV park which is just outside the windows. If you're on the first or second floors you can make direct eye contact with the R Our move up to the third floor was an improvement (and the towels were better). A view of the parking lot would have been better.

It was cheapPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: it was located in the city I was visiting, and it was in price range.
Smelled bad; missing phone in room; no inside security lock; black mold on bathroom ceiling; half a frozen muffin for continental breakfast. No bay or harbor view - just looking out at the RV park next door. Will pay more to stay somewhere better next time.

One night at Yaquina BayPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: free parking, ?
Cons: Either a coffee maker in the room or open the lobby for breakfast by 7AM.
I booked the night at the Inn at Yaquina Bay, as I was visiting my mother who lives in the area. In the evening we decided to head over to the hotel at about 8PM and I received a call from the hotel asking if we planned to stay there. I had already paid for my reservation, so of course I planned to stay. Then they tried to change my room to a single king bed on the phone because they needed a room with two queens. I explained to them I wanted the room I had booked. We did get a room with two queens but I felt pressure to take a different room. The room was tired, but clean, and it was quiet. They say they serve Continental Breakfast, but the coffee is in the lobby and the lobby is closed until 8AM. We went out for breakfast as we were hungry.
