Historic and cozy

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Very clean and old homey feeling in lobby only negative I can think of us the architecture of the time it was built leaves you hearing your neighbors as the walls are thin. But very nice place to stay

Nice hotel...great cafe next door

Posted Jul 21, 2014
The hotel was nice but is a step back in time. Very nice staff and wonderful place for a night stay. Not sure if I would stay there longer than a night or two. The cafe next door is awesome and so glad the staff at the hotel recommended it. All and all it was a great stay and good location for a night stay.

Quaint hotel near old town

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: It was affordable and the location was perfect for our needs.
Cons:
Location: We walked to the old town area and ate dinner at Mo's which was a requirement for our stay.
We were delighted with the Lighthouse Inn. It has a quaint retro feel. The room was cozy and comfortable. It was very affordable which was a requirement for us.

Historic Hotel and original furnishing?

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: good location
Cons: THE BED!!!!
Location: By old town and DQ
The hotel was historic. They had the original 1938 furniture in the the lobby, unfortunately it felt like the bed was also original. Try as we may we continued to roll to the center of the bed making it difficult to ever sleep well. We just kept saying we could work with anything for 2 nights!

Tiny room and shower. All they provide in the morning is coffee or hot chocolate.

Dirty and Disappointing

Posted Jun 21, 2014
We rented the "deluxe""pet room and spent over $90.00. The room was dirty....and the shower was filthy with black mold everywhere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was uncared for and they seemed unconcerned.

No hot water

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: Hot water in the shower and toilets don't flush well, took 3 flushes for toilet paper.
The hotel itself is older, but the worst part is that we paid quite a bit and had no hot water in the shower. A tip for navigating the outdated bathroom is to wait 15 minutes from the time you flush the toilet to the time you get into the shower. It still won't be hot, but it is passably lukewarm. I'm not a fan of super hot showers, when I say lukewarm that is exactly what I mean. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. There are no fridges or coffee makers in the room but there is coffee in the lobby for 3 or 4 hours in the am. Also, your room is charged to your credit card immediately, not when you arrive.

Worst hotel I've seen in 30 years travel.

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: Front desk seemed friendly - other than that nothing.
Cons: Update to the 21st century and get rid of the stench in the room.
Location: Lots to see and beautiful area.
Walked in and walked out. Handed the keys back and went to a hotel across the river (without getting my money back). The last time I'll book thru expedia.
