Nice place close to the beach.

Posted Feb 23, 2015
The place was nice, but the service was the best! We were in town for the wine and seafood festival and inquired about where to catch the shuttle. They said not to worry about the shuttle because they would drop us off and pick us up. That is going above and beyond! !

wanted to move hotels if I could..

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Hotel was freezing. Almost freeze to death. The room had heat, but the room lost a lot of the heat since the cracks from window, regular door and glass door. I put thermostat to 80, and the room at most was 60degrees. I also turned on the fake fireplace for heat and baked cookies (oven for heat). Still it was so cold. I put towels to 'seal the crack' but still freezing. Seeing how it was NYE, all places were book, I couldnt change even if I wanted to. There was no staff after 7 pm due to holiday. I woke up many times throughout the night shivering wearing a hoodie and a long sleeve shirt under. The hot water for the shower start to get cold after 10 minutes, so my significant other had to wait for awhile before he could shower. I told the front desk, next morning, all they said sorry we will check that out. No compensation off the room or anything.

Thank you for your review. Little Creek Cove just completed a project where all units got new double pane windows, siding and sliding doors. Our regular guests have commented that units are so sealed now, they have to crack the sliders to hear the ocean, so was very surprised to read that you lost heat from "cracks from window." In each unit, there is a welcome letter that has the manager's contact info as he lives on property to ensure guests who have any issues after hours can be helped. If you had called him or rang the bell at the office, this could have been investigated at the time. We want our guests to have a great time and am sorry to hear you did not.

Hidden Gem

Posted Dec 8, 2014
When I first walked into our room, number 118 the Seahorse Suite, I was blown away. What an amazing view! The decks/patios are large and in good repair, and the room, though a little dated in décor, was quaint and charming. Kitchen was excellent and well equipped. The bathroom could really use some updating, but was clean and functional. The grounds were really well tended, but beach access path could use some TLC. It was super wet recently, and the trail was a muddy, mucky mess. The "bridge" over the creek was a little scary to say the least... but it was functional and we used it a dozen times. The hidden nature of the cove and the facility meant a nearly private beach. We saw four people in our two day stay. We brought our own firewood and had a couple beach fires in the evenings with nary a soul in sight! Stunning vistas and wonderfully isolated. I can't wait to return!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Little Creek Cove. It is appreciated. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. In the winter, beach access really depends on mother nature as we are not allowed to build anything "permanent." When we have a series of storms come through, sometimes the creek in front of the property becomes wider than our makeshift bridge. Some owners keep rubber boots for their guests to use and we do have a couple of extra pairs in housekeeping also. Don't hesitate to let us know if you would like to use them. See you next time!

My new favorite beach retreat

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: 1970s construction details could use some updating.
I'd seen but never stayed at Little Creek Cove until this fall, and I'm very happy I found the place! The incredibly friendly staff gave me a selection of units to choose from, and each one had its own individual charm. The unit I selected - the Creek Side Nature Retreat, #124 - offered truly breathtaking views and a lovely, very welcoming décor. There isn't a single thing I would recommend changing, and I absolutely will stay there again.

It was nice in storm.

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Location, view
Cons: night staff
Location: Newport city downtown is right next to it so everything's there.
I was pleased with my stay. I wish I was little closer to beach view but that's what they gave me. If the direct beach path wasn't covered with water(rain), I would give five star overall.

Very comfortable suite with ocean view.

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Lots of privacy, balconies had real nice view of ocean. Suite was perfect for 2 people. Murphy bed was very comfortable and easy to use.
We only stayed one night, but really enjoyed the suite. Everything was provided, the table was even set with matching silverware etc. This was a really great little suite and we will definitely be back some time when we can stay longer.

A nice place getting better with updates soon.

Posted Nov 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
I talked with the owner. This establishment was built 1970. They have just completed some updating and renovation on the exterior. They will continue with interior renovation shortly for these 30+ apartments. Yes it is like a apartment as you have a full kitchen and livingroom. The small ones have a murphy bed so room is kind combination. Bed was firm. There will be a router with Wi-fi for internet in every each of the apartments to secure good reception. It was ok for the this time we stayed but these are improvements ahead. We found this place very charming.
