Good times at Lincoln cityPosted Apr 21, 2014
Cons: Staff needs to be more customer service oriented, couldn't put it on another card at check in, couldn't have a late check out, etc......
Location: Lincoln City, casino, beach, major grocery store, dollar store and lots of other (private rentals) if you plan ahead.
Very close to the beach, clean rooms, updated since I was there many years ago!

Nice hotel and close to the beachPosted Apr 14, 2014
Weekend trip - great room, comfortable beds, loved the fireplace and had a great view. We had fun "finding the mermaid" and the pool / hot tub area was excellent.

Pet friendly???Posted Mar 26, 2014
Loves the view but the rooms are dingy. Rolling, old carpeting. Dingy linoleum in bathroom. I think for the price you could do a lot better. I wish I would have shopped more. The pet policies are harsh. You have to walk acrossed the street to let your dog relieve itself. Fido is not allowed on any furniture either. Our little dog always sleeps with us. We probably won't stay here again. :(

Right on the BeachPosted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the beach, onsite restaurant and lounge, indoor pool.
Location: Close to downtown shops and outlet mall.
We went to Lincoln City for a swim meet. We had stayed in other hotels but wanted a place right on the beach. This hotel is located steps from the water's edge and the beach is wonderful. You literally walk down the stairs and you are on the sand. The rooms are nothing fancy but they are clean with a frig and microwave and there is a Keurig coffee maker in the room which was a nice surprise. There is a balcony that overlooks the beach and the noise level, other than the crashing of waves, is very low. They have a restaurant and lounge on site that was very nice. We had a wonderful dinner with excellent service. They also offer s'mores kits at the desk so that you can make sweet treats around their many gas fire pits, which was a nice treat for our son and his friends.

not what I expectedPosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Nice pool, spa and workout room. Nice beach front rooms with keurig coffee pots, microwave, and refrigerators. Nice outdoor fire pits
Cons: Working showers and having the restaurant open at 600am instead of 800am
Location: Beach, shopping, devils lake
Hotel room seemed great at first until we tried to take showers after swimming that evening. We got a warm slow drizzle out of the shower head. We ran the water for almost 15 minutes and ended up just rinsing ourselves off because the water never got hot and there was no pressure at all. We tried the shower again in the morning but it still didn't work, so we took quick baths instead. Apparently the water pressure goes down during peak hours. This place also does not serve a continental breakfast. They have a restaurant next door that opens at 800 am where you can buy a breakfast. This is not convenient if you have to be at basketball tournament ready to play at 800am. Not what I expected for 159.00 a night. Friends of ours stayed at the Best western down the road for 120.00 a night and got working showers and a continental breakfast

Pros: Right on the beach.
Cons: Update rooms in the section we were in.
Location: On the beach shopping not far away. Casino near by
Room had peeling wall paper old furnishings old tv. I felt for $170 it should have been better. I Have stayed there before but not in that section and it was much better.

On the Beach-Need to learn to CleanPosted Feb 25, 2014
Cons: Clean and remodel.
Location: Casino, Rest. and Tanger mall close.
Hair from past guest on the bathroom floor, Carpets stained and needed vacuumed, cork from a wine bottle on the floor…….TV looked like to was purchased in the 70's….Needs updating and staff need to learn to clean. Location was good, right on the beach. Will not return to this Hotel/Motel, Very noisy for a Sunday night.

OkPosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The view from the balcony was great!
Cons: The pool distance and the internet was slow!
Location: The closeness to the beach made it easy to take walks.
It was a nice room but did not like that the pool was soo far from the rooms!

Wonderfully updatedPosted Feb 24, 2014
I stayed at Surf Tides when I was younger and it was just another cheap coast hotel. I was very surprised during my recent stay to find wonderful updates like modern colors, fire pits and keurigs in every room. My friends and I had a great time searching for the elusive Mermaid (we're all 30) but to no avail. The pool, jacuzzi and saunas are fantastic, but no one follows the 21 and over rules.
